Handheld Bottle Corker,Double Lever Hand Capper For Standard Red Wine Beer

So pleased with this corker. It's very sturdy, very easy to use, the corks go straight in, no problems. Would really recommend this product if like me you've been wacking corks in with old mallet type.

Really good quality product. Corks slide in easily. However, the corks I was using were damaged by the piece of the corker pushing the cork down as its a tiny bit too small. Put a 5p coin between the cork and piece of metal and the pressure is applied more easily and the cork isn't damaged.

The most shabby but of kit you'll ever buy. Save your money! Centre post wobbles about with very little support. The plastic caps on the next grip lasted one go. Because of the lack of support on the centre post, it couldn't manage to push a cork in without slipping off the cork. Utter rubbish in my opinion. To qualify my appraisal, I have been making wine for 30 years, corking with a 50 year old bit of kit. I thought I'd treat myself up .... How wrong I was!

Excellent bottle corker highly recommended

As with other reviews the red plastic on the arms that hold the bottle split and fell off on first use (6 bottles). You get 4 spares with it but I think I'm wrapping them in electric tape instead to provide some cushioning. The corks go in but not all the way and it usually makes an indent in the corks as the rod is too thin I would say. I had to knock them down a bit more with a rubber hammer.

Couldn't really get on with this, it seemed to short, the lip grippers did not come far enough down the bottle, I had to manually beat the cork in over half way before this would engage properly on the bottle, then it pushed the cork about an inch to far down the neck of the bottle, im not one for giving up as im a solution based person and not a problem stuck one, but to be honest, after a good try these ended up in the bin.

Not bad at all, does the job.

Takes a few attempts to get used to but in the end it’s easy, I used a coin to spread the pressure of the ram on the cork as without it the cork was being damaged. Do it on the floor and get right over the bottle to ensure an even and direct pressure

Also erst einmal muss ich berichten, dass ich mit dieser Presse eine Weinflasche verkorken konnte. Auch wenn der Korken am Schluss noch ca. 4mm oben herausschaute und ich ihn dann auch nicht weiter hineindrücken konnte. Ich hatte vorsichtshalber die Lang-Version der Korken bestellt. Dann viel mir auf, dass bereits durch die erstmalige Verwendung der Presse, die Schutzhüllen um die Metallklammern kaputt waren. Die Presse findet keinen richtigen Halt am Flaschenhals und rutscht dann bei genügend großem Druck einfach nach oben. Die nächsten Versuche werde ich wohl ohne diese Schutzkappen machen und hoffen, dass mir das Glas nicht wegplatzt. Alternativ überlege ich noch mit dem 3D Drucker einen Adapter für den Flaschenhals zu drucken, damit das Abrutschen erschwert wird. Es ist auch ratsam die Flache verrutsch-sicher aufzustellen, weil mit viel Kraft von oben gedrückt werden muss. Vom Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ganz OK, mit Prime.
