Great flavor, zero bitterness.
I tried one of the Vahdam samplers first, and the Daily Darjeeling was one of my Favorites. This is just an excellent tea. I've quit soda and added tea for the caffeine fix, and this is a great one to add to my tea rotation. Since switching from bags to loose leaf, I don't miss soda at all.

The Perfect Cup of Tea
Exactly what ive been searching for - a strong black tea that does not leave a strange or bitter aftertaste. I just use 1 teaball in a 2 cup mug & it is a perfect cup of tea. Worth the extra cost & will def buy again.

Strong Muskatel flavors
(Edited 9/10) The third time that I have ordered the tea, it was great as was the first batch. I am putting down the inconsistency of the 2nd batch as an outlier and will discard it. Also the customer service was great. (Edited 9/4) I got a very nice email from the customer service department. I have changed my review / ratings to give them another shot... in addition I had already ordered another batch and will update the ratings further depending on what I get from them. (Original Post) This was my second time ordering the same tea from Vahdam. The first time the tea was great with strong muskatel flavors and even though not the cheapest was a decent value for the money (I have paid upto 250$ a pound for nice darjeeling in the past). This was a tea worthy of five stars. The second time the tea was still good quality but had a cardomom / clove bouquet. Even though this was good, this was not what I consider darjeeling. I have ordered another batch just now and am hoping that this batch is good. I wish them the best of luck because I think they have a good thing going but they have to maintain consistency.

Darjeeling-esque
I was curious about this because it received good reviews but is really inexpensive for a tea from Darjeeling. I liked this brewed at 1-1.5 teaspoons per cup, water at 185-190 F, for five minutes or even longer. The lower temperature allows more flavor nuances to emerge, as does a little milk. The bottom of the bag said that the tea was picked in October, making this a third or autumn flush tea, not a summer tea, as stated. This is what it tastes like, third flush teas are softer and deeper than second flush teas. This tea is like a Darjeeling, it is definitely from Northern India, but I'm not sure whether it is from Darjeeling or not. A tremendous amount of tea is grown in northern West Bengal, where Darjeeling is situated, and all around it. These teas are becoming more widely known, with good reason. Some of these areas are still relatively primitive, their teas are Darjeeling-esque, but with their own character, and are less expensive for now, just as teas from Nepal or Sikkim were less expensive a decade ago. The tea I've had that this reminded me the most of was a third flush tea from Nepal, the leaf quality and intriguing smell reminded me of a tea from Donyi Polo in Arunachal Pradesh. This Vahdam tea is higher quality than anything mainstream in a grocery store, but the teas from Northern India are capable of far more in terms of flavour: the variety and art of Camellia Sinensis in this part of the world is amazing. However, you do pay for this, in twenty odd years I have never found a deal in a Darjeeling, everyone involved knows exactly what they have. So, the question is what is really your cup of tea. If you want to know what the big deal is with Darjeeling tea, you're better off with named estate teas from a specialty company in the region, these are always well-described and consumer-rated. If this is too complicated, if you want a better than average cup of tea at a good price, this tea fits the bill..

Vahdam does it again
Another delicious tea from Vahdam. I've been very satisfied with the various Vahdam teas that I have tried in recent years. This one is great too.

Cup of heaven…
So efficiently packed, all freshness of the freshly plucked tea is sealed inside. Tea drinker all my life, first Darjeeling tea that has blown me away. If you are a tea connoisseur, you are missing out if you don’t sample this. To the manufacturers: please don’t change anything here and keep up the good quality.

Best darjeeling I've ever had!!
I love me some darjeeling, so this was only a natural choice. Imagine my surprise when I have that first cup and it is complete and utter bliss! They used to offer a darjeeling chai a couple years ago, but I haven't seen it in a bit - of course, you can always add your own spices and make your own, and yes, you can get chai masala to turn your darjeeling into darjeeling masala chai. So yeah, you want good darjeeling? Buy this one.

Not sealed correctly, bad taste.
Item was supposed to come vacuum sealed, however there was a ton of air left in the bag. It comes with a larger mylar bag much like stash and other teas, but for some reason they ship it separate. I'd see the point if they properly vacuum sealed, but they obviously don't. Tea itself was very bitter and stale tasting. Overall this left a very bad taste in my mouth both literally and figuratively for this brand. We will not be buying again if this is how Vahdam ships their product. Can't return due to it being a food item so we just wasted 25 bucks on something going straight to the compost pile.

Best cup of tea ever
If you enjoy a decent cup of tea you can do not better than buy VADHAM tea. We bought Breakfast Tea and Organic Darjeeling. Both were only picked a couple of months ago so are nice and fresh and have not lost any of their taste and are shredded tea leaves rather than the usual finely chopped sort. Wonderful taste and we only use a heaped teaspoon of tea per person per pot and get a very nice cup of tea so very economical. The owner sends you an email with a background to the business and offers a full refund if you are not satisfied (but we cannot think that anyone would not be very satisfied with this lovely tea). Will definitely keep reordering as needed.
