Great fishing scale! The Dr.meter fish scale works perfectly for me. It is very accurate and easy to use, ideal for quickly and reliably weighing catches. I like its compact design because it is lightweight and easy to carry anywhere. The display is also clear and easy to read, even outdoors. It feels durable, which gives confidence when using it for fishing or outdoor activities. Definitely a very useful and practical tool. I give it 5 stars because it fully delivers what it promises.

It appears to be pretty accurate I have weight a few packages of meat from the grocery store and they we a match on the weight. It is very easy to read even in bright light, I can not read a thing on my phone or gook etc without glasses and I can easily read this without them so that is a bonus in my eyes! I am very happy with the quality and value of the scale and will be gifting a few to my boys to add to there tackle as well.

OK, so I do not fish. However, I have found this in combination with a bag the best way to weigh my chickens for health checks. This scale is really easy to read and seems very accurate. The size is great, I like that you can take it with you easily. The only thing I wish it had was an easy way to attach a hanging clip because I am not strong enough to hold up an 9 lb struggling rooster while trying to read the results. I did figure something out, so it's not a huge problem, but if there had been a chain or something through the two end holes to form a triangle for balance, that would have worked.

I have a fat bike that I have been riding for the better part of a year. The weight of this thing out of the box remains mysterious — it comes in different frame sizes that vary slightly in weight; tires and tubes of the same exact type can vary in weight by a surprising amount — the reasons for this vagueness are understandable. In addition, I have upgraded the handlebars, stem, and pedals and added a dropper seat post. I also modified the drive train by adding a 38-tooth “super-granny” cog to the rear cassette. These changes have all been wonderful for rideability, but each has also added a little bit of weight. I wanted to know, once and for all, how much my bike actually weighs. I found this little beauty of a scale searching Amazon and decided it looked like it might do the job. And for $10 at that. In wading through the seemingly endless and generally uninformative reviews for this product, I was a little surprised to see how few people seemed concerned about whether a $10 digital scale could actually come close to measuring what something really weighed. About a hundred fine folk were a little miffed that the dang fish kept wanting to fall off the hook thingy, but accuracy didn’t seem to be much of an issue. Well, accuracy was an issue for me. So, the first thing I did after giving the supplied pair of triple-A’s the fisheye and installing Duracells, was to weigh a dumbbell consisting of 4 weight plates, a solid steel handle, and two locking collars. It weighed exactly 27.28 lbs. which was very close to what it ought to weigh. I then turned the scale off, turned it back on, and weighed it again. 27.28 lbs. a second time. Good enough consistency check for me. Then I weighed the dumbbell on my Health-O-Meter balance beam body weight scale which I believe to be pretty accurate. This scale is graduated in 1/4 lb. increments. With the balance beam scale, I took my time centering the beam pointer, making micro-adjustments in the sliding balance weight without looking at the reading on the scale until the pointer was perfectly centered. On this scale my dumbbell weighed just a shade over 27 1/4 pounds, about as close as you can get on an analog scale to 27.28. Needless to say I was pretty much blown away by this. Coincidence? I really doubt it. Happy? You bet! So, I can say that MY scale seems to be both accurate and reliable way beyond $10 expectations. I have no idea how it will hold up, but it seems to be quite sturdily constructed. The backlit display and weight “lock” feature are also really nice to have. To weigh my bicycle I dipped into a big box of old straps and belts I keep in the garage and found a couple that make it convenient to hang the scale in a position from which it is easy hook up the bike and read the display. The strap that supports the bike weighs a couple of ounces, but I simply “tared” it out. With short lengths of rope or sturdy cord, a carabiner or two, and a hardware store S-hook, anybody ought to be able to weigh just about anything with this scale. File the barb off a big old hook, clip it on with a ‘biner, and even the dangedest fish will behave his self and get weighed right.

I purchased this scale here more than 6 yrs ago & it continues to work great! Was looking for something to weigh items for selling on online auction sites for shipping, so after researching & looking I found this Dr. Meter Fish Scale. Seemed to have gotten good reviews so that helped sway my decision. What also influenced the purchase was: ) It's compact so it doesn't take up much space (especially if you store it in original box). ) Read out has a bright, glowing LCD screen, and has a nice contrast with big black numbers against an illuminated blue backlight, especially in low light. ) Switches between pounds, ounces, & Kg measurements with a touch of a button. ) Well designed & constructed. Quality composition & equipped with a collapsible handle made of a durable steel. ) In addition to ON/OFF & Unit measurement buttons, this has a neat function which computes Tare weight as well for omitting the weight of a container (although I never need to use it). ) Has a strong stainless steel hook on the bottom with a swivel for versatility, but there's a recessed groove on the back for the hook to store, so it doesn't dangle & hook onto anything. ) If you need it. this versatile unit contains a built-in tape measure up to 3 feet long, which I honestly forget about as well and an auto-off feature I forget about too! ) Takes only (2) AAA size batteries in a compact compartment which last a long time. Because I use this scale mainly for weighing packages for shipments, I put a package/box into a plastic bag to weigh & hang it from the hook. But with that said, what I love about this is scale is when you're weighing an object, hold it up by the handle & fully suspend it, keep it steady while doing so and the scale automatically locks in your measurement!!! It's that easy!!! Another useful way I used this was to measure damaged aluminium wheels - I needed to scrap the metal to cash in for some recycling money & wanted to compare to see if the scrap yard was paying per the weight of my payout. This scale accurately counted up the weight of the wheel(s) upwards of about 26 pounds each without a sweat. Although it's advertised to handle upwards of 110 lbs., I never fully tested the capability, but I'd bet it can do so. My wife & I really love this product for our online selling gig & it has provided many years of countless weighing cycles. I highly recommend this for the duties as a package scale, but I'm sure it's great for fish & the like also. It's been trouble free for us & I think it's going to serve us well for a few more years to come! Get this & you won't be disappointed!!!

What good is a digital device if you can't read the display. I don't want to put on reading glasses just to see the info. 1st) the numbers are 1 cm or 7/16 inch tall. The background light is a pleasant blue tone of just the right brightness. However, the viewing angle is very limited. Easy to use. I have a bad back. If I pick up something like a delivery box on the front porch, even for a second, that is over my weight limit then I will likely be in pain for for more than a day. Say my weight limit is 15 lbs. I am strong and can easily lift 30 lbs. If the box is 20 lbs. I may be in bad pain for 4 days. To prevent injury using the scale, I just need to raise one side of the box enough to get a strap under it and attach it to the scale. Example: When lifting the box a little, I see the weight measured is 9 lbs. Fact: half of the box weight is on the porch and the other half is on the scale. Then double the observed weight resulting in 18 lbs. that is too heavy for me to lift. I need to get someone to help or I can tumble to box into the house. Works pretty well to weigh luggage except the hook that grabs on the luggage is too short for it to latch on to the handle. Wish it came with extra attachments

Seul petit bémol, quand on remplit progressivement un récipient (type seau) le poids se fige quand l'opération prend un peu de temps, il faut rappuyer une fois sur le bouton pour actualiser le poids. Attention si on appuie 2 fois, on tare le seau... Malgré cela je recommande.
