Quality Boxes but Not What I Needed
I ended up returning these boxes. They are high quality, sturdy, and built well. But my husband is looking for a small box to hold his keys and these boxes are too deep - the sides are too high. They do seem to be functional and work well for some purposes. They are attractive as is, and would look even better painted or stained. They are a little on the pricey side, at $7.50 each. But if you're considering buying them, I would recommend it.

Mildew
I used these as succulent planters, and they looked great! Succulents don't need a lot of water, so I thought it would be OK. I watered once and the boxes mildewed on the bottom. I've only had them a week! Sadness.
