Q: What's the difference between this and the red case set?

As far as I could tell only the price. I screen shot both sets and and the sizes were the same and both aluminum. FYI I rebuilt a GM 8.75 rear end and it worked but the handle was almost to short to drive the inner pinion race in. Just be careful.

Q: How long is the handle, up to the collar that the disc sits on?

About 5”. I used it to instal races and seals on a gm 8.5” rear ended. It worked for the pinion race but would have liked it to be longer.

Good tool to own.

Going through my 77 CJ5 and replacing all the old bearings and seals. So far this has been used on things like Timing cover crankshaft seal, wheel bearing races, wheel bearing seals, spindle bearings and axle bearings. Just makes things move in or out straight without marring things up by keeping even pressure on all the edges at the same time. Better than beating on your large expensive sockets like I've seen in some videos LOL.
