So after many many years of searching and trying out dozens of car phone holders of many styles and configurations, this one is the best by far. Noteable points: Good sturdy construction, good reach from sucker point on windscreen to the dash, phone clasp is solid with a quick release button, plenty of angle adjustment, locking joints so no slipping when it's tightened up, decent screen sucker. space for access to USB-C connector. Highly recommend.

This is my second holder. The forst ine went with my car when I sold it. It was in the car for 2 and a half years. Sun, rain, winter, it didn't move. Such good quality that i had to but the same.

Very easy to install and unlike other brands has so far not fell off of the screen. I should point out that it is attached to a 30+ year old soft top tourer which does bounce about a bit on our glorious pot holed roads.

I bought this Vanmass Car Phone Holder and was impressed with the very speedy delivery from Amazon. The Vanmass packaging is top quality and the installation instructions are clear. When I opened the contents, the first thing I noticed was the weight and good quality of the hardware. It all seemed really solid and well-made. Once I got familiar with the assembly, I liked the adjustability of the linked components. The holder plate is adjustable in all directions with a ball joint that can be tightened with a knurled wheel, once the ideal orientation is found. The clamp itself opens nice and wide, with a smooth, damped action on pressing the easily-reached release button. The arm has two adjustable joints that are tightened up by means of wing-nuts. One joint pivots, the other slides telescopically. Again, the feeling is one of solidity. Since the main arm is telescopic – it is possible to alter the reach of the phone nearer to, or further away from, the driver. This I think is very convenient. The telescoping action is tightly secured with the wing-nut. The entire kit, as supplied, offers three methods of attachment to the car. The first is via a gripping component that attaches to the grille vent on the face of the dashboard. This looks like an upgraded version and has a ball connector for direct connection to the phone-holding plate. This clamp can be tightened up, again with a wing-nut, onto a vent grille chosen to suit the driver. The second method is by an angled sucker gripping directly onto the inside of the windscreen. This looks very well-designed and suction is achieved by operating a lever on the body of the suction housing. The sucker dome is itself very adherent to the glass. This is where the telescopic arm of the device really comes into its own. Of necessity, it can be quite a reach from the internal surface of the glass to a point above the dashboard to where the driver’s fingers can actually make contact with the phone. The generous extending arm makes this feasible and more comfortable. It’s a good idea to arrange the installation so that a part of the arm is resting on the dash edge – to increase vertical stability even further. But, this is certainly not essential due to the general weight and quality of the Vanmass product. The final method of attachment is on the top surface of the dash itself. For this, Vanmass supply a self-attaching pad, onto which the suction pad is then applied. This needs the dash top to be fairly flat and smooth. Again, it depends on the car design, but also allowing a part of the arm to rest on the dash edge would be useful for stability – but not vital. All-in-all, a nice product of obvious high quality and it’s great to have such a wide choice of different installation methods. I’ve also found Vanmass customer service in the past to be excellent. Well done Vanmass.

I bought this for my son after buying one for myself last year. Excellent phone holder. Easy to fit and does exactly what it promises. Do not be fooled into buying a cheaper one.

Well it certainly feels very solid indeed, I can see why other reviewers have said how stable it is. The design and construction of this cuts no corners and the sticky pad, that can be washed off with water, is not a negative as some have suggested, it is a huge positive that sticks the phone holder to the windscreen like a clam. The one slight negative is the force required to squeeze the clamps together to stop the phone wobbling (Samsung A54). Not a problem for me, but my wife struggled with this, hopefully she will get used to it. So its ideal for the sweeping windscreen of our new (to us 2023) Citroen C3 and we have positioned it to the right of the steering wheel, which causes the least obstruction to vision. The clamp is really secure and once adhered to the windscreen there is still scope to move it backwards, forwards, up and down for individual drivers using the adjustable arm. Yes we could have used the car's 'Mirror' function on the main screen, but this turned out to be too temperamental, refusing to accept my phone's connection after setting up my wife's phone. I couldn't take the risk of her getting in a muddle with it, so fitting this holder and just using the phone for Waze is simpler and more straight forward for her to use. Update: The windscreen mount gets noticeably wobblier in the extreme summer heat, but when things cool down it gets firm again. This might be an issue when the weight of the phone is added to that length of leverage with the movement of the car, as I haven't actually used it yet in these conditions, but I am hoping that the car's air-conditioning will cool it and restore strength once we are underway. This may not be an issue at all for most, but I thought it worth mentioning.

Material selection and finish are top. Suction Cup not yet tested. The cup still looks a lot more professional than even RAM suction cups. Do not use the Air Vent Holder with heavier handy like GPS phones. Will cause damage to the vent wing adjustment system.
