This thing works just as great as the genuine product. Made formatting my HDD and transferring files to it so much easier. Plus, it came in the mail in less than 48 hours! I definitely recommend.

I got this after buying a new hard drive for my original/fat Xbox 360. One thing I will say off the bat is this is a third-party transfer cable. It appears exactly as it does in the product photos, but be careful because the box and instruction manual are very close to the original. Notice that it never says "Xbox" and the logo is absent. Official Microsoft parts will always say "Xbox" and not just "Xb" (I put an official Microsoft hard drive next to this cable for reference in the third picture). I personally don't take issue with this, but I think the packaging is a bit deceptive and it should be clearer that this is not an official Microsoft part.With all of that said, it works perfectly for what I needed it for. I needed to transfer files from one fat hard drive to another, and it works great. All you need to do is plug it into your USB port, place your old hard drive somewhere flat, and connect the big rectangle part to your hard drive. It needs to be in a specific orientation to fully fit; I have attached a photo of it connected to my own Xbox for reference. When you boot up the console, it will automatically detect the transfer cable and give you the option to transfer. This is much faster than transferring your data via USB.Some other important pointers:1) The data on whichever drive you transfer from will be erased, so be sure to back it up first if you want to keep it somewhere other than your new hard drive.2) The Xbox will NOT transfer system files, meaning you may have to update your console again or recalibrate your Kinect. If you have a hacked console, it will also not transfer your setup files. It's best to transfer them via USB.

This transfer cable seems to be of good quality and works great. I’ve been using for a while modding Halo 3 forge maps. Not a bad price. Definitely works with original Xbox 360 HDD - I’ve added a picture to show that it does.

Bought this for transferring the HDD content to PC, but it didn't work. But from HDD to HDD it works

I bought this product so I could transfer my phat Xbox 360 content to my Xbox 360 E but it registered my HHD as corrupt and needing formatting which would of deleted everything. I tried to use their garbage Chinese software but had no idea what to do with it especially since it wasn’t Linux compatible. I found a authentic transfer cable from my local thrift store and it worked like a charm. If you want something that will work and not waste your time, look locally or spend $25 on the real deal because if you don’t you’ll be spending just about that price returning it.

This transfer cable works perfectly for transfering data from on Hard Drive to another through your Xbox 360. However, if you are using this cable to connect a Hard Drive to your computer, if it is formatted for Xbox 360 (exFAT) it will not show up, you will need a special program to view the drive (such as Xplorer360 Extreme, but there are others). Windows uses NTFS, which does not support exFAT.
