Clairol Professional Beautiful Collection Semi-Permanent Hair Color

This product works very well. I have red-ish hair and everyone loves it, so do i, so don’t take this like i’m insecure trying to change my hair color, because i’m not. I originally got this to dye my hair just to experiment blending this with redish-blonde hair. the results were surprisingly really cool and lots of people love it! But I do have some tips for people before they use this product… First things first, this product is VERY MESSY, and it stains, so be sure to be careful and don’t get it on anything important. If it gets on your skin, it shouldn’t be an issue as I was able to just wash it off with soap. I didn’t “exactly” follow the instructions for this product and i simply just put it in my hair and then rubbed it in. This worked fine for me, but I have shorter hair so idk haha. Another thing to be careful is that this thing is STRONG. You could have light blonde hair and this stuff will straight turn it brown (that is if you chose brown). So yeah, it works. But be careful not to overdo it, it may look fake. Now this is the MOST IMPORTANT THING. This stuff will wash out of ur hair as soon as you put water in it. But it’s not what you think. I suggest that you wait about a day after putting this stuff in your hair before taking a shower. This will make sure all the “dye” stains your hair and settles in, then when you take a shower, it’ll look like it all comes out.. but it doesn’t, the color is still there, and it still will be for like another couple weeks. So yeah, it works well! I do recommend!

I am African descent with natural brown curly hair and I have been using this Clairol product for past 7 years and it has never damaged my hair. I don't use it regularly just a few times a year because I going gray just on top of head and occasionally like to refresh my hair color. I find I have my best results when my hair is dry contrary to instructions but this is what works for me. Most salons apply hair color on dry hair first anyway before shampoing so I gave it a try and it works better because your not deluting the color with damp wet head. I also seperate my hair in sections since it is so thick to saturate and blend in the color. After I apply the product to my head I then cover my hair with a clear disposable shower cap so the product does dry on my hair and can work for those 20 minutes. My hair tends to be on the coarse dry side so my hair color may last longer rather than someone that has natural oily skin or hair. I don't shampoo my hair everyday either my hair texture couldn't handle that and turn to hard straw lol. I tend to wash my hair once every ten days plus I don't use shampoo with sulfates and harsh chemicals and most times I honestly just use a Aussie condition to shampoo and moisturizer my hair without stripping the natural oil and color from my hair. Ladies I have great results and the color last 8-12 weeks or even longer for me . Best of all I can mix different colors of the BC collection and create my custom color. Sometimes I want more red highlights and mixed the cedar or reddish brown with ash brown. Mix the 2 colors in a bowl and apply. I wouldn't trust my hair coloring to any other product.

It does very well, with grey hair. I have been using this for years. Just make sure you do at least once a month a deep moisturizing treatment to keep your hair from getting dry.

For more than 40 years I dyed my hair with permanent hair color. This meant that every 2 or 3 weeks I was forced to color my roots, otherwise there was this sharp, very noticeable line between the new hair growth and the dyed hair. It was like being trapped in a bad relationship and not knowing how to get out. During COVID, I finally stopped coloring and let my hair grow out. I never want to use permanent color again. I tried this and I love it. Instead of the sharp diving line between new growth and dyed hair, this product fades gradually and naturally. This allows me to recolor whenever I want to. Because I have gray hair now, I do have to leave it on for a much longer time than the directions say. Highly recommend

I cannot recommend this product. It did not cover or even "blend" my grays and it rinses out in a torrent of color in the sink; not matter how much you rinse, color still comes out. Also, my hair did not feel nice after I used it. I had to use a conditioning mask. Will never purchase this product again.

I love this product and will definitely buy again! I purchased to cover my grown out roots between major color services. I have long, thick hair and was not sure if one bottle would cover as I did want to do an all over color. It covered it and I even had some left. My hair is to my mid back. I think this is due to the fact that you apply to clean, towel-dried hair. Anyway, the color covered my gray roots and added shine and greatly enhanced my all over color and looks completely natural and left my hair looking healthy. As stated before, I will definitely purchase regularly!

Its more like a gloss, didn't color much my hair, and it didn't cover no grays. Which I kinda figured from reviews I read, but this product didn't really gave much. Wouldn't buy again

Ordered for my mom, who can't wear permanent hair color

It's very difficult to find semi-permanent hair colour in stores other than the crazy wild colours. This does fade to blonde within about 6 washes in spite of using shampoo for colour treated hair. I am fine with that because by then it is time to do my roots anyway. I have never tried to remove it so I'm not sure if you can. My natural hair is completely white and in spite of it being a semi permanent colour my longer hair stays blonde. It has not returned to white. In that sense it may be permanent. I do like the fact that because I only treat my roots it looks quite natural, darker at the roots and lighter progressing down the hair strand. I have thinning hair so a bottle does two applications but as I said I only do the roots.

It doesn’t work, it didn’t take at all. What a waste of time and money.

My aunt is severely allergic to hair dye and this one works great for her

Better off getting the semi permanent box colors.
