I have deliberated long over the acquisition of a winder as I rotate the wearing of watches from my collection every 2 days. I have looked at reviews for several devices and I am so pleased I opted for this Kalawen model. Fantastic build quality and finish and, as good as if not better than winders I have handled which have price tags 3 or 4 times of the cost of this beauty!! Its not small. but silent and looks a "class item", it would not look out of place in the shop window of a high-end Jewellers' with a price tag of £200.

The first one I bought last year. This was my review below However, the one I bought today is very noisy although build the same, the mechanism certainly isnt. This product exceeded my expectations on quality and looks. It is well made and looks great. I would say if you put it next to the bed, it may disturb you, as it isnt soundless. However it isnt very loud, but my hearing is very good. I placed it onto a soft mat to dull the sound. Don’t let this put you off buying it. Just place it further away from where you sleep. I bought a watch winder for my husband that cost me £250. This double winder is better than the more expensive one and it looks better. I’m very pleased with it.

I bought this watch winder a year ago (Feb 21) and was very happy with it. It was quiet and kept the watches wound. Sadly, a little under a year later, it has stopped working. The mechanism no longer completes the turn and the watches are no longer being wound when in it.

The box itself looks perfect, nice finish, really looks the part, good value for money. I leave the review at 5* as the product is not advertised as silent, so I didn't expect it to be. However, it's pretty loud, sounds like a large mosquito in your ear. Anyone claiming the motor is silent, must be going deaf. Easy fix - purchased a timer plug and have the winder turn off during the night. Overall a good watch winder.

I am surprised for the money it is pure quality The item looks proper solid well made and it works for my watches. Delivery was on time. It is bigger then the pictures. Works with battery and plug in the wall

As far as winding goes this does its job. A variety of programs to choose from meaning you should have no problem finding one to meet your needs. Feels solid enough and looks good. The polish finish is a dust magnet but it would not be fair to call it a negative, more of an observation to be aware of. Only criticism I have is noise. It started quiet enough, after about a month though its got louder. Its not LOUD loud but loud enough that leaving it on at night is just not an option. Thankfully I've found that connecting it to a £5 timer and running it 11am to 11pm is more than sufficient to keep my watches wound. Suppose that brings the added benefit of them having 12 hours to run down as well allowing them the more natural cycle of releasing tension rather than being fully wound all the time, though I'd rather have determined this as a refinement not a necessity...
