does the mug have a blue tint on the glass? or is the glass itself completely clear?

It had the Blue tint, very blue on the button and then it fades out as it comes up to the edge. It looks really nice.

Are these microwave safe?

i would not suggest putting in the microwave - it has gold paint on it...
