Love this thing I’m a teacher I bought it for the classroom and it’s totally simple to get started and it’s bright and easy to read love it.

Perfect digital date / time / day of the week clock for our elderly Mom suffering from early stage Alzheimer’s. Set-up took 5 minutes and it actually came with the charging block for the USB cord which, for some reason, is rare lately. This clear display immediately got a positive reaction from her - she said it was “way easier” than trying to “figure” out the calendar. Looks like it can be hung on a wall as well. Pix included of back with the buttons to adjust the settings. My only complaint would be that it doesn’t have a battery back-up, so the caregiver will likely have to reset it after any Midwest power outages. Other than that, well-priced and exactly what I expected. :-)

Very easy to set up just turn it on and follow the directions. At any given time I can look up and like the idea of being able to see the time of day or night...with a push of a button it will speak the time, day etc. I hung my clock on the wall and you can adjust the brightness of the clock so it won't be so bright at night. I will not using these functions but it is capable of setting alarms, birthdays, personal medication time etc. I also think it would also be nice to use at the bedside, living room, kitchen etc. Everything you would like to program into the clock can be locked so you don't loose what you programmed by pushing odd buttons by mistake. I've been so busy therefore I haven't had the time to check for battery usage which would be nice if there's a power outage (don't see battery slots)...yet though I do see underneath a slot for what looks like for a micro disc and a usb charger??.... when time allows I'll come back later to comment...as of right now I just wanted a simple functional modern looking clock that was large and visible enough to look up at during the night and go right back to sleep without moving around to much to focus in on the size of the numbers of the displayed time. This clock does that for me and then some! I would definitely recommend for someone who has a little trouble keeping up with the time of day, a little trouble seeing and hearing. It does show the date, time month and year and if it's morning, afternoon, evening, night or am. It also has military time if you like. I think it would be a great purchase for a gift to someone also. You can't go wrong with this one.

This type of clock is a Godsend for those with dementia or Alzheimer's!! But not all of these clocks are created equal. Starting with the packaging, this one comes in high quality boxing, like you'd find for an iPhone, Nest or Ring product. Other brands come in a flimsy cardboard box. It's also very easy to set up and customize. I really like that it uses upper and lowercase letters - more natural reading for persons with dementia/Alzheimer's. Lots of display options but unfortunately the most ergonomic combination is not available: large font, black background, white letters. Also, the dimming feature is great, but why do I have to press a button and why does it only last 4hrs? I would love it if the type of dimming you get with the button was the same dimming you get when you schedule the auto-dimming, but it's not. The auto-dim just reverses the background from white to black. The button turns white letters to gray that are easier on the eyes at night. A major annoyance with all of these brands of clocks is the center hole to hang it with: the weight and placement of the power cord makes the clock hang very crooked. TWO mounting holes in the back would take care of this issue. Instead I had to add Command strips to keep it on the wall straight. All that said, this is a very expensive clock but seems to be well worth the money compared to the cheaper ones. I have bought three of the cheaper ones and they only last a few months. Lots of reviews on those about how they stop working in no time. I bought this one because there were no reviews complaining about the clock just stopping. Plus I could add a 4 year Assurion warranty (not so on the cheaper clocks), which, given my experience with the other clocks, seems well worth the $10. So if it keeps running or the warranty replaces it, it's worth the money! Edit: It's 19 months later and still working well!

Great clock with large Numbers and letters. Has various reminders for mom to take her meds or go to lunch etc

Retired and lose track of day of the week or the date since you don’t have a work schedule anymore? (But you still care about knowing the day, date and time) This is a good clock for you!

Easy to set up, bold, bright display is easily visible across the room. It is great!

Large font, decent size screen. Bought to keep my elderly parent on track with meds. The screen not only tells them what date and time it is but also what part of the day i.e. afternoon, morning, evening. There is a reminder setting too so alarms can be set to jog memory for medication. I set for morning meds and evening meds - they are alerted by the screen and by an audible alarm which I have set for 1 min (minimum setting). Everyone who visits the house are really impressed with it and a few people have asked where it was ordered from. Brilliant piece of kit - invaluable!

This clock doesn't work. It shows wrong data on the screen. I don't recommend buying it even if the idea behind it may seem nice.

Für Demenzkranke nicht zu gebrauchen, da alle Tageszeiten viel zu früh beginnen und in keiner Weise der deutschen Kultur entsprechen. So wird wird z.B. bereits ab Mitternacht "früh morgens" angezeigt und "mittags" von 10-12 Uhr. Ganz fatal ist jedoch die Übersetzung der englischen Tageszeit "afternoon" ins Deutsche mit "abends" - und das bereits ab 12 Uhr mittags !

Bought this for my senior mother and she loves it! Easy to set up and use (I set it up for her). She does not have any severe memory loss, but finds it very handy. The display is large and easy to read. Sits on a small coffee table in her living room, doesn't take up much space, and she likes that it also provides a bit of a night light for her with the screen able to light the area enough for her to see, but not too bright that it's annoying. It is an excellent buy and suits my senior mothers needs perfectly.
