Listen, this is by far the best smoked paprika I’ve found, period. It’s a cute little authentic jar of heaven! A little goes along way. The smell is heavenly and taste is definitely distinctive and awesome! The only con I have is that the top is hard to open. I usually use a sharp knife to pop it out.

This is a softly-smoky flavor enhancer that holds up well in storage. It has incredible color. I had never used much paprika until trying Chiquilin smoked. I hesitated to purchase, thinking I would never be able to use that much, but I’m glad I did. It is a surprisingly versatile spice and opening my mind to a trial and error process has taught me a lot about that. The can seals tightly. Pretty in the kitchen.

I did a spot tongue test, and felt it tasted woody, and dry, but that’s all I can say about it at the moment. This is the best smoked paprika I have ever used! I am a foodie/cook and enjoy using smoked paprika. I first discovered this product at a store while traveling in Toronto. It quickly became my favorite smoked paprika! I have since purchased it two more times on Amazon as I use it a lot! Authentic and delicious!!

These are a great value and very tasty. I appreciate having two tins so the product does not get old while you try to use up one giant one. It is a bit milder than the smoked paprika from the grocery store. The one thing I miss is a shaker top. They have a very attractive tin with a lid that needs to be pried off with a knife but it’s not difficult. I may put some into an empty spice container that has a shaker top.

I have tried several different types of smoked paprika, and this is the first one that does NOT add an after bite or after taste to the foods I use it in. I use it in some of my sausages that I make for color and a slight smoky flavor. This is also an excellent choice for Chicken Paprikash and a little goes a long way. One thing to be noted is that like almost all paprika, this will lose some of it's potency once it is opened. I got this and used it on May 7, 2019 and then have used it a couple of times since, and it is starting to lose it's strength. However, as with ANY spice or seasoning, this is to be expected. It comes in a nicely decorated tin, which will seal tight with minimal pressure. The tin does require the use of a spoon to open it. I would not recommend a butter knife since you could bend it. In the photos above, the smoked paprika is on the right. It has a darker color then regular paprika which is on the left. It is also denser then regular paprika. Great item and a great value for the amount you get, versus store bought. If you need a good smoked paprika, this is one to try.

The tin is attractive and sturdy. It does have that different looking round metal seal lid which is kind of like a paint can but inverted. I'd previously had a container of paprika actually which I never did get open with that same style, but this one pried open easily with just a butter knife at the edge. It also sealed back securely when I was finished. I generally buy paprika and smoked paprika at the Polish store so it is the Hungarian or some kind of Eastern European variety, or just at Fresh Market or some other kind of gourmet grocery store. I use it mostly with meat, especially pork, and potatoes. Amazon is convenient though so figured this product was worth a try. My initial impression of the smell when I opened it was that it was a little bit less smokey then ones I had bought previously, but it did still have that nice blend of smokey and sort of sweet and spicy. I used this paprika to make a chicken paprika dish tonight, essentially a slow cooking stew with onions, garlic, red and yellow bell peppers, and chicken. The only other spices were salt and pepper. Sour cream was then added and I served our over egg noodles. I thought it turned out very well, and was similar to the flavor I'm used to even though this is Spanish paprika. I would recommend this product and will likely buy it again when this ribs out. I did receive a discount on this product in exchange for promising to provide a review.

I remember eating this brand as a child. My mother often used this brand and other brands from Spain. I enjoy Paprika even when it has no smoke flavor. But, a well smoked Paprika is just king in my book. This Paprika has the exact smoked flavor I remember and loved as a child. I hope Amazon keeps carrying it. As for those who say it might be fake cause of the picture I would recommend to the reader to checkout the manufacturer's website, Chiquilin dot com/en/paprika/. In their site you'll see they are using the picture of the man with a hat without showing the pile of Paprika please see my photo for reference. The image Amazon has is of a man in an oval circle above a pile of paprika powder. Don't take my word for it, checking it out for yourself. I purchased mine on July 2020 and the expiration date on mine is 03/2023, please see photo provided. If I had a complaint it would be the tin can itself, never liked the top lid as a child nor do I as an adult. I use a butter knife to pop it open easily. I like to quote the producer's website: "Paprika is an ingredient which if exposed to high temperatures becomes a dark brown color and develops a bitter taste." So, keep that in mind when using it. Nothing else to say, other than I believe based on the flavor, aroma and the manufacturer's website that these are legit, my opinion. Well worth every penny I paid!
