DON'T FOLLOW SELLER INSTRUCTIONS FOR CALLIBRATING
So when I first tried to use these they wouldn't work at all. My main problem turned out to be not having a common ground because I had different power sources for my Arduino controller and the ESC's/Motors. They all work great and don't seem to have any heating issues yet.Used with 935kv motors and 3S battery, working well so farFOR CALLIBRATING:1. Have motor/reciever sending data2. Throttle up to full3. Power the ESC/Motor3. You should hear 3 D's (means getting power) followed by 1 D (means getting HIGH signal)4. Lower throttle to the minimum5. You should hear 2 D's -- after that you should be good to throttle up

Ok but tricky
I initially left a bad review, because after connecting this to an Arduino and trying to activate a motor with a basic servo sketch, it did nothing other than make the ESC beep. Then I did some more research and learned these ESCs have a startup routine needed to "arm" them, AND that I needed to power cycle the ESC after each Arduino update. After doing both of those, then my servo sketch worked.

A programmable ESC without instructions is useless!
I received my four ESC and they might or might not work. I ordered them because I need a brake setting for folding props. I'm perfectly fine with programming them with my transmitter using a series of beeps and throttle movements. I'm also perfectly fine programming them with a programming card. But, there are no instructions included with these ESC. "Ok", I think, "I'll just go to their website". Nope, no instructions there either. So, I think, "Well, this is just Simon K firmware, I should be able to do a quick internet search." Nope, as you can guess, the instructions are based on the version of the firmware you're using. Now, I could go out to the shop and fiddle around with these ESCs and ultimately hack my way through the process. But, it's RIDICULOUS that I have to. These are being shipped back ASAP and I'm going to order some better supported ESCs.And by the way, if you're answering questions about Amazon products - such as whether or not they come with instructions or how to program them, please stop answering incorrectly!

I need to change power-on defaults. Which config file should I use when loading SimonK? Thanks.

Great
These are bigger than I expected but they will work fine

Mine say 40a but 2 have burned out already
This works well on a motor like a 2216 1400kv that's only pulling 18a. If you're using a High KV motor. Steer clear of these. I've cooked 2 already and wasn't even pushing it hard.

Three out of four worked, one dead on arrival
They seem to work ok, however, one unit was dead on arrival.
