The Extreme Max Trailer Step adds a sturdy stepping platform to your trailer, allowing easier access to anything you haul, including boats, cars and more! The step securely attaches to rectangular trailer tongues or frames 2" to 3.5" wide and up to a 5" tall. The 5" x 9" stepping platform contains a no-slip rubber gripping pad to keep your feet where you put them. Easy to install, the step may remain on the trailer during travel as a permanent installation. The galvanized steel construction boasts a 300 lbs. weight capacity. All mounting hardware included. Review: Easily some of the best money I've spent - I've owned boats for years, and I've always contorted myself and struggled to climb in and out when the boat was on the trailer. You either run the risk of damaging the fender by putting your weight on it or stretch and twist to hit the trailer. With my new boat, I decided I was too old for yoga poses, so I took a chance on this. I wish I had bought one years ago. The step mounts easily onto the trailer with just four carriage bolts. I did have to run to the hardware store to buy some shorter bolts because the ones that came with it were way too large for my trailer. But that was the only negative I have, and I'm guessing that's partially my fault because there's probably one for smaller trailers floating around out there that I just didn't look for. I'm a fairly big guy, and the step is solid. It sits at just the right height for an easy step from the ground and into the boat, and it doesn't stick out any further than the fender does. If you've got a boat, you won't regret adding one of these. Review: Very stout and well made - Bought 2 of these step brackets and made a platform of alum diamond plate that gives me a 2' x 1' platform. It is solid as a rock and will definitely make launching and recovery of my boat safer and easier. Once the the brackets were installed in the right place I removed the 2 rubber pads and back drilled thru my platform and used 8 SS screws for install. Screws provided were of a ferris material and would eventually rust from salt water corrosion. The platform also protects the trailer wiring from getting damaged.
