- Micro modal is a very soft, super fine cellulose yarn made from beech trees grown on certified sustainable farms.
- Flat knit toe seam: its expensive to make toe seams with this special stitch, but we think it delivers a superior seam that is virtually impossible to feel.
- 10% of the overall yarn content is knit with real Lycra yarn from Invista.
- Instep cross brace. X marks the spot of our Lycra cross brace that hugs the sock to the top of your foot, ensuring a very sensitive area remains wrinkle free.
Lorpen cares about the environment. Lighting our factories with natural light during the day, recycling everything from office paper to yarn no longer used in production, and looking for natural sustainable alternatives to synthetic yarns when they can be shown to deliver the performance that we and our customers are looking for.

Snug / Comfortable / Expensive / Durable / Worth It
Excellent Sock. Expensive yes. Worth it? Absolutely. Snug comfortable sock - small amount of compression. Not fully colorfast as someone mentioned but if I can ignore the wear above the heel (I use them for outdoor work) I have pairs that I still can use from 3-4 yrs ago. Only complaint is they are no longer available in Med or Large - any word on new stock I would like to know.

Wonderful and Cushy
I originally bought these socks for light hiking in New Mexico, but they now are a staple for everyday wear. They wick moisture well and provide wonderful abrasion control at the heal and toe portions. They hold up well to multiple washing and hot drying and have not gotten any snags or other issues. True to size, a medium fit my women's size 8 very comfortably. Very comfortable, slightly high price, but well worth the money.

great socks... worth the $
I decided it was time to upgrade from the multi-pack tube socks, and it was well worth it.These socks are extremely comfortable with just the right amount of cushioning. The different areas and constructions make for a great fit. I think these socks will be my sock of choice for some time to come.

In so far as one can love a sock, I love these.Substantial, not flimsy. Holds its shape. Pads heel.

Great Socks, but wash in Cold water
Have been wearing Lorpens for a couple of years - when I can afford. Great socks - comfortable, long / hard wearing. But I've noticed, after many washings in hot they are not extremely colorfast. Still Love Them!!
