Stainless Steel Chainmail Scrubber Set

I've had cast iron cookware since 1986. I have relatives that have had their cast iron cookware since the 40's as well! I learned the NEVER WASH method and have cleaned only with salt and paper towels, "never needs seasoning again" I was told. I've seen the mesh cleaners for years and finally I decided to give it a go.I went to LodgeCastIron.com and went to How to Clean Cast Iron: OMG all Myths are busted here folks! Nothing helps clean something metal like more metal. The chainmail scrubber along with some salt can get almost any stuck on food off your cast iron cookware. The brush is also nice quality and has held up not only with the cast iron but for washing other items as well, and fits ergonomically in your hand. The chainmail is also easy to clean by throwing it in the dishwasher with your non-cast iron cookware. Recommend this for all cast iron users!

I was skeptical but when I had to rescue a grill plan and a big skillet my husband neglected and left outside for...let's say a long time and then suggested I throw them away... I decided to do some maintenance on my other cast iron. The chainmail scrubber really does make short work of stuck on food with very little effort and no damage to the seasoning. The brush is convenient too. I have slender hands and I have no problem getting a good, easy, no-strain grip. I often use the two together. If I want to put more elbow grease, I use the chain alone.

I bought this set for my camping cast iron cookware. The mesh worked great. The brush worked also, but each time I used it bristles would fall out. I hope that will stop soon.

I wanted to use the item for a few month before I reviewed. After 4 month, I'm very happy with both the chainmail and scrubber, they still look new and due the job. They cut cleaning time in half.

Works great for cleaning my cast iron skillet of food particles. The brush is not really necessary as you can just as well use your fingers on top of the chain scrubber. Best to use with a just warm pan and warm water.

The brush is very sturdy and the metal chain mail is a plus. This is ideal for cleaning a wok without depleting the seasoning. Easy to use and clean.
