Can the bag be set down on top of this? Or does it need to be emptied before it can be set down again?

It can be set on the valve. Propping up the heavy portion of the bag helps to keep the valve positioned correctly when lifted again. We used 12x12 lumber to prop up our bags.

The interior diameter is 5.5”.

It’s heavy plastic. I’ve only used it a couple of times, but so far so good. About to order 3 more.

Nice for smaller feed

Not sure this would work on large range cubes but does work small pelleted feed and crushed grain feed.

Wonderful time saving device

This product works great! Operates exactly as described. Made with heavy duty materials so you really can set the bag down with the dispenser installed. Easy to install. Doesn’t tear up the bag. Makes filling feed buckets a breeze!! Wish I had bought this a long time ago.
