Actually works as advertised
So, we had a really dusty and dry year this past year. And I mean, there is dust EVERYWHERE, like I've never seen before. I've tackled it as best I can, but dust means allergies act up badly, which means I don't feel well enough to clean as well as I should. We had a great little Hamilton air filter that has served us well for years, doing double-duty with activated carbon filter to help with scavenging ammonia from the air from the catbox. It just wasn't enough, not even for a small room, and it was blowing dust everywhere even after replacing the filter. So, I thought I would give this air filter a shot, because it is bigger and HEPA rated, something very important to us. I am NOT paid to write this, and I write this as a sufferer of allergies and chronic pain who struggles with inhaled irritants in the air making me ill regularly. This air filter is well worth the money. It has been keeping the air clean, not just clean but actually SMELLING clean. I can take a full breath and not start coughing, which is new and wonderful to me. I swept the room today, which normally leaves dust everywhere lingering in the air (you can see it in the sunshine just hanging around, makes me cough something awful). I turned the fan to full, and within minutes, the air was breathable again. I am sleeping at night, and not waking to my sinuses giving me a headache, which has been a huge relief. Even better, a housemate sprayed themselves silly with perfume, and this kept my air breathable and prevented a huge asthma attack for me. (We got the pet rated version, with the activated carbon filter, and suspect this has a huge part in how nice the air smells.) How long will the filter last? No idea. But it is effective and just the right amount of quiet white noise to tolerate at night. We just got it, and I'll certainly update my review with my experiences.

Efficient, quiet and effective
Best filter for a pet household with cat allergies. Quiet, efficient, and for once the app that comes with a product is helpful and useful. I can easily track filter replacement schedules.

Fantastic and quiet!
Bought this as a precaution... if my roommate or I get COVID (I've had a couple scares, but turned out negative), I thought a HEPA filter could help us keep from passing it on to each other. Neither of us have caught it yet, but in the process I learned to love living with this filter in my room. After the first night, I woke up breathing better than I have perhaps in my life (I've always had a stuffy nose) and I'm sleeping fantastically well every single day in the six weeks since I bought it. I feel a bit guilty about how good my sleep is, given the chaos of current world events. It also got rid of a weird funky smell. I'll often forget that it's on. I use it in a small bedroom, so I have it on its lowest setting, and it's super quiet. I also use the feature that turns its indicator lights off. (in the pictures, it's running) But I'll notice if it's ACTUALLY off. One night without it, and I was all stuffed up in the morning again. It's not tiny, but it's smaller than I expected (see pictures). I'm really limited in space, so that's a huge plus. I 100% love this purifier, and have recommended it to friends. Seems like it should work great if you have pets as well (I don't have pets, but anything that can HANDLE pets, I'm extra confident in buying for a pet-less house). Also like that there's no ionizer (tried a different brand and instantly noticed the smell). This one has zero smell coming from it of any kind. Just a gentle wafting of cool air out the top of the unit.

Nice unit. Acceptable noise levels.
Update: 10/15 I have enjoyed my first unit (this one) so much (it is quiet, nice controls...) so much that I have bought two additional units (one for my second office location and one for my wife's office). I have retested the sound. At 4 feet from me: Fan 1: 53.7 dB, Fan 2: 54.2 db & Fan 3: 57.4 db. I would say at the lowest setting the fan is barely audible. At the middle setting (Fan 2), it sounds like a relatively quiet fan (perhaps a box fan on its lowest setting). This level of sound is only slightly louder than the mechanical sounds of the HVAC within my office building. This is where I run the unit while I am in the office (making calls, having meetings, dictating notes...). At the highest fan level (Fan 3), I would say it is like a box fan on the medium setting. It would be louder than what I would want in my office (about 125 square feet) running all day. When I come to work, I run the unit on high for about 15 minutes. Given its rating of filtering the air in a 250 sq ft space about four times an hour (on high), It should filter my office (about half that) twice in 15 minutes (my estimate). I then run the unit constantly (while at work) for the rest of the day on the medium fan setting. It seems that to filtered at a medical quality level the air needs to go through the unit 4-5 times an hour. I hope this helps. I have had the first unit now for a couple weeks.... Original post: Please note I have only had this unit one day. I have it set up in my office on the end of my desk. Via an app on my phone (Decibel X:db Sound Level) the decibel level at fan level II is 49-50 dB and level III is 56 dB. The owners manual claims 24-50dB. Perhaps if I had the unit across the room from my desk the sounds would be within the range claimed. It is an aesthetically pleasing unit. I plan to buy a second unit.

Works VERY well
I bought this as I have Asthma and a couple of other respiratory issues. I found out that my other air filter wasn't actually HEPA even though it said it was, so I got this one. I put it on a plastic storage drawer as it was small and light enough to fit on it. Since I've gotten and started using it, I've noticed a significant decrease in the amount of dust, dander, and asthma attacks. I do have cats (I won't rehome them as I've had them for 13 years), and they honestly set me off. Still, this filter has helped a lot in lowering the amount of dander to the point I do not have quite as many asthma attacks, and it removes enough dust that my A/C filter isn't turning black within 48 hours of replacing it, nor am I getting as much dust on surfaces. The difference was significant enough that my mom commented on it! I do wipe the outside of the bottom of the filter frequently as hair, and other stuff builds up on the outside plastic, but overall I'm very impressed with this unit's capability for the price. I have a roughly 800 square foot apartment, and it handles that amount of space easily. I had it on level 3 for a couple of hours after first setting up and leave it on level 2 for the most part. It's quieter than my fan, and while I don't care for the lights, I know I can dim them if I so choose which works.

effective
I love this purifier! It’s very effective, especially if you have a cat. I place it in a room where the litter box is at and takes away the smell in a few minutes, however it might depend on how strong the smell is. The quiet operation is works, you can still hear the fan however not as much. The lighting doesn’t bother much since it’s not so bright. Overall, I love this air purifier and definitely recommend if you have pets.

Great for clean air and white noise for sleeping
I've had this for about five months now. I use it in the bedroom to keep the air fresh from airborne dog dander and also to serve as white noise for sleeping. It has been fantastic on both counts. We no longer wake up with stuffy noses or sneezing. I like the different modes for high, medium, and low. The unit is well-made and was super easy to set up and start. I'm still on the first filter, so either my air isn't as dirty as I thought, or the filters last a long time. I couldn't be more pleased with it. Read the instructions for care and use, and you'll be all set.

Very Easy to Use and Set Up. Looks Nice in the Room. Needs Some Space Around It. Good Value.
I had this out of the box and working within a few minutes. The instruction manual is clear and the controls on the air purifier are clear and easy to use. It looks nice and has a clean look to it. Note: The instruction book says it should be situated 15 inches from anything (like a wall) on all sides. I didn't see that anywhere in the listing and I had planned on setting it in a corner so I had to rethink its placement a bit. It's probably more of an efficiency thing than an absolute as the intake for the air is all around the lower part of the unit and the air exits out the top but you will need to give it space to work effectively. The same company makes non-round units that can probably sit next to a wall if this setup doesn't work for you. There are three fan settings. On the lowest, it is peaceful and quiet. It's not silent, but like a very soft white noise machine. I get bothered by noise and this doesn't bother me. The highest setting is somewhat loud but the great thing is, you can set the timer on it and just have it do the high setting for a short time (like two hours) to get the room air circulating and cleaner. Then it can cut back to the quiet level. I used a very simple sound meter on my phone to measure volume and standing right next to the unit I got about 34 dB (decibels) at low level fan, 44 dB at medium level, and 54 dB at high level. For reference, a whisper is about 30 db and an average conversation is about 60 dB unless you are particularly expressive. Overall I'm happy with it and it has received good reviews as a less expensive option that is still very effective. I'm using it for our second, small room which functions as an office...and as the kitty litter room. I can turn it on high when the kitties are visiting their bathroom in the morning and partying in the dust, and then turn it down for the day while we are working and it's a soothing low level background sound. I have two litter boxes so we'll see how it does over the next couple of months but so far I am very happy. It really does look nice in the space and will make the air healthier for all of us.

5 stelle piene, veramente consigliato
