SGHUO 12pcs 4"x6" Pink Rubber Linoleum Blocks for Printmaking, 8mm Thick

This is such a fun and easy to use it! I thought it would be a lot more difficult honestly, but this was my guest linocut project and it came out wonderfully. The instructions have guidance on how to use the tools, the block was easy to carve and over all this was just plain fun and for a great price. Everything i needed was included. I highly recommend!

I'm new to block printing (had not made one since 6th grade- ages ago!) and decided to try it again as a way to de-stress. These blocks are perfect! Price point is perfect for the quantity, great size, great thickness, and they are easy to carve. They carve so easily that it's actually quite relaxing! They do not crumble when carving. Carbon paper works decently on them, too, for transferring designs. They take ink well and I have consistent results with the finished prints. I've used some of my blocks multiple times and still receive consistent results. This is my go-to item when I need new blocks and they have pretty much helped make block printing my newest hobby! I've added pictures of two of my finished projects to show how well they work. I'd give more stars if I had the option. Heads up- they are MUCH heavier than they look!

Nice quality. Very thick and dense material, easy to carve. I bought these for my high school art class and they enjoyed carving their own block prints from them. Beginner friendly materials.

Great starter kit for making stamps and prints

Nice kit. Everything a beginner would need. Smallest blade not small enough for intricate details, but does okay.

If you are new to block printing you will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS PURCHASE!! These are soooo much better than Speedball’s speedy carve blocks and not crumbly at all. I previously purchased Sghou’s green ones because I wanted to practice depth control (the block has a green core to let you know you’ve carved an area enough). They were lovely, but when it was time to restock I decided to get the pink ones because you get 4 more blocks for the same price! The pink ones are less rubbery than the green ones which made fine detail work loads easier! The green ones are just a bit more rubbery so I would always snag/pull the block when attempting to do finer detail. Please note though that I am a beginner, and a more experienced carver might not face that issue at all! I’ve included a picture of two projects using both SGHOU block types and you can see that I was able to get away with a lot more texture on the pink one but both blocks are AWESOME. I will continue to use this vendor for my block printing projects!!

These work exactly as intended, I plan out my sheets carefully and often get several large stamps from each pad so no issue with size, the size also makes it possible to make postcard or greeting card style stamps if you use a whole sheet at once. Make sure to save scraps that seem big enough for carving, you never know when you might want a smaller detail stamp (I’ve made small hearts, clovers, balloons, flowers, etc). These are not the softest rubber stamps so it does take some force to cut through them, but that tends to be my preference for more accurate cutting, just make sure your blades are sharp and ready to go and you shouldn’t have any issues using this product. I’ve had these for a while and made a huge selection of stamps and I still have over half the stack so it definitely goes a long way for the price!

Nice carving material. Does not crumble. Slightly firmer than Speedball Speedy carve. Makes great stamps or small blocks. I only wish it was available in larger sizes. It's a good price for twelve 4x6 blocks. I would buy again for sure.
