3M Safety-Walk Tub and Shower Slip-Resitant Tape, Clear, 2 in x 15 ft Roll

This is great tape. I'm on my third roll now. I've been using it to progressively cover a dangerously slippery marmoleum floor in a bathroom. It works well when wearing socks or in just bare feet, wet floor or dry. It comes in different grits. The "200" grit I bought is comfortable on bare feet and provides good traction. And it stays down. The pieces I put down in December of 2025 are still firmly attached. It's very easy to install. You cut the length you need, then round the corners (to discourage lifting) with a pair of sharp scissors. Peel off a few inches of the backing to get started, and stretch it out, peeling off the backing as you go. Press it down firmly (a wide putty knife will work, or the edge of an old credit card) and you're done. Once down it’s practically invisible.

Purchased this tape to use on the floor of our new shower. It certainly did the trick and eliminated the somewhat slippery floor of the shower. But we found other uses for the tape as well. The stainless steel grab bar in the shower was very nice looking with it polished smooth surface. Bur it was too slippery to hold onto when your hands are soapy and wet. A strip of this tape on top of the bar took care of that problem as well. The best part is that the tape is almost transparent so it doesn't stand out and in fact almost looks like it was part if the bar to begin with. The hand held shower head on the end of the flexible shower hose looked beautiful with it's shiny chrome finish but was tough to hold onto when your hands are all soapy or covered with shampoo, A couple of strips of this tape also took care of that problem as well. So you see this Safety Walk tape has a lot more uses than just for walkways. And it's 3M so you know it's top quality. Great stuff!

I bought this for my Pappy, a proud 173rd Airborne Vietnam Vet. Seeing a man of his stature worry about falling in the bathtub was something I couldn't stand for. I’ve always considered 3M the best in the business, and this anti-slip tape proved why. We used the 2in x 15ft Clear tape, and the grip is outstanding. It has made his life so much easier and, more importantly, stress-free. He can move with confidence again without the fear of a dangerous fall. It’s a small investment that provided a huge amount of peace of mind for our family. Highly recommend for anyone looking to protect their loved ones.

It took a little bit of time and effort to cut appropriate size strips with rounded edges as the instructions suggest, and then to install. Product does make me more confident in the shower stall which had an extremely slick bottom, and all strips have adhered well. (Thanks to someone else who posted a picture of their approach to a pattern which I copied). I went with the 2-in wide version and would suggest that width for shower applications. I'm generally satisfied with the purchase although a bad, persistent chemical smell endures. I'd read about shower mats having bad toxic smells and was hoping this product would allow me to avoid that issue, but I still notice the unpleasant aroma 3 weeks after installing. I even tried leaving baking soda on the strips overnight without much improvement. The smell is not as strong as the first week, but it's still there... if you are sensitive to smells be aware that this product does emanate some chemical odor. However, considering that a mat will get grime, gunk, and hair stuck underneath in the suction cups thus requiring cleaning every so often, these by contrast are maintenance-free once installed. Nothing sticks to the surface of the strips in my experience.

We use these in all of our (including other family) bathtubs and showers basins for safety. Not all shower basins and tubs have a textured surface to prevent slips and falls so the use of this 3M Safety Walk is a must. The product is very easy to cut and the liner comes off equally easy as well. We've bought these a few times over the years and they last us at least a couple of years before we decide to reapply a new roll simply due to appearance. They are absolutely waterproof and when applied properly they do not lift up. Please be sure to properly clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol and then use a roller such as those used for Dynamat for strong, long-term adhesion. Each roll is good value for what you get and the width of each strip is perfect for laying them out whichever way you'd like. When my kids take their showers, I no longer have to worry when the basin becomes all sudsy from shampoo and soaps!

This stuff is great. I will purchase again any time it is needed. Clean and dry the tub first as per instructions. Application is easy and one roll will do one standard size bath tub. I got 8 strips across the width of the tub out of a roll. The safety and security is unparalleled when compared to suction cup products. The feel is unobtrusive and not "gritty" at all even though the traction provided is superb. I've had it installed for one month now and zero signs of peeling. Cleans easy and doesn't seem to collect water or soap residue at all. It makes an amazing difference. Try it, you'll like it. UPDATE: Originally reviewed 08/28/18 - updated 10/21/19 After more than a year there is no peeling or separation at all. Grip/traction is still excellent. You don't really "feel" the strips, but they provide outstanding security while standing in the shower. No slips in this household. The product cleans well when doing your tub scrubbing. LASTING VALUE. ***UPDATE #2*** 12/09/2025 After more than 6 years, the 3M anti-slip tape is still in place and working like new. No peeling or cracking. Excellent traction to this day. It truly is A SUPERIOR PRODUCT.

It could be our tub floor texture but it doesn’t stay on for long. Our tub floor is not completely flat and has a texture meant to help with grip but is slippery with softened water. The 3M grip is great but started to come off within 2 months.

It's an excellent product, used in in my parents bathroom. Completely transparent and safe. It's three times the price of overseas so feel value for money is a bit less.

I used this tape in my elderly parents shower and bathroom. It is really good and I feel at peace knowing they’re safe and won’t slip.

This non slip bathroom floor tape works very well. Firstly they are translucent so the colours and patterns of the tile underneath shows through and the tape becomes almost invisible. Secondly after several weeks of use they are still stuck on firmly. No signs of delamination at the edges at all. (I did round the sharp corners before applying them to reduce the likelihood of the sharp corner peeling off) I also tried them on an outdoor staircase with a slightly rougher surface than the shower tiles. I found that the tape adhered better without using the recommended adhesive spray. Have not used them long enough outdoors to know whether they hold up as well the ones in the shower.

I used it on outdoor playground slippy metal stairs and it's very effective and extra safety for the kids I wish if the price was lower
