Overall is as described. The opening to add food could be bigger. Cat seems to be fine with eating her food out of it with no problems and certainly enjoys smacking it off the table when its empty. Good quality product if it cant withstand the abuse our cats put it through everytime they empty it and we aren't there to refill it the very instant it becomes empty. Would purchase it again.

The food does not fall freely from the food reserve into the dish portion. My dog doesn’t know if he nudged the dish with his nose the food would fall into the bowl. I have to give it a little shake with my foot to get the bowl to refill. I use small bites food for my Yorkie so the food is t get stuck and clogging it. I think it’s just poor design.

A brilliant idea followed by poor execution. I have a few stray kitties that hang around outside my house and have been feeding and watering them for some time. Thinking this device would make things a bit more convenient, I bought one and loaded it with Meow Mix. The next day, out in my yard, I took a look at the device and discovered the eating bowl part was empty. The hungry cats had enjoyed the opportunity to chow down. What didn't occur was the bowl automatically refilling from the upper section. Inserting my finger in the bottom, I jiggled the feed and, after a bit, got the bowl refilled. This is now a twice-a-day operation. The automatic feeder is not quite automatic. Not recommended.

Works perfectly for feeding my stray cats. Top comes off easily to refill. I keep it in a sheltered area so the bowl doesn't get wet. It's the best one I've tried. In fact, I've ordered another one.

This has made keping our cat fed much easier, I dump in a whole bag of dried food once a week and it works great. I do need to give it the occasional jiggle to keep the dry food flowing but beats the heck out of topping up a bowl daily.
