Carhartt Men's Washed Duck Bartlett Jacket

I was conflicted between the small and medium size, but I took a chance on the small, even know I normally wear mediums in hoodies and other jackets. I based my size off of a Wrangler work jacket I recieved last year for Christmas that was a size medium. Unfortunately, that jacket was a bit too big, for the sleeves went far past my wrists and the shoulder seams went too far past the end of my shoulder. It felt too bulky as well. So for this Carharrt I took a chance on the size small and didn't regret it. It fit perfect; the shoulder seams lined up and the sleeves covered my wrists perfectly. The length was good as well without it extending too low below my hips. I was even able to wear my favorite hoodie underneath it without the jacket feeling constrained and arm movement still feeling spacious. Keep in mind I have a relatively small frame, anyway so your mileage may vary. I asked my dad to try the jacket on, who is an inch shorter than me and has a more athletic build with slightly bigger shoulders, and it fit him perfect as well. The jacket itself feels high quality and will definitely hold up to some wear and the sherpa will definitely keep you warm. It's now probably the best jacket I've ever owned with plenty of pockets and a lightweight feel to the overall coat. Highly recommend if your considering it, for it is a solid alternative if the Detroit jacket lacks too little features for you.

I took a chance on this jacket given some of the concerning negative reviews and found it to be very decent. Things I like: the length is good, the fabric is not too stiff, the sleeves have an inner cuff, the pockets are ample and well placed, the hood seems normal (not weird as some ppl said) and it's roomy across the back for movement. It's also not too terribly relaxed for fit. I washed it (follow the directions) and it did not deform as some people claimed. It may not be quite as warm as the Detroit jacket but still seems fine and there's plenty of room for layers. The only things I wish: Please make this in an extra small and also in regular fit. I am female and have so much trouble finding women-specific work clothes that aren't lame. I almost sent it back for being a bit big but ultimately decided to keep it.

This jacket has changed the way I look at life. Can a jacket do that? You bet your sweet bippy. I bought this baby to keep me safe from a puppy who was bitey as all hell and loved to frolic in mud and poop. To say the least I needed something bulletproof. This jacket is not bulletproof. But puppy proof for sure. It’s also pretty wind, rain, snow, nip and slip proof. Gusseted arms allow for a solid range of motion. So quick movements are a piece of cake. Jacket doesn’t come with cake. But the new lease on life comes with its ability to be warm when you need warm and not too warm when you don’t. I’ve worn it in 20 degree weather and 60 degree weather without issue. All I changed was the layering. Sherpa interiors for the win. This jacket doesn’t come with Tenzig Norgay. Size wise, this mono-colored dream coat runs big. I’m a shorter fella with a fairly slim frame and I’m rolling in a small. It’s a hair on the short side. But a medium made me feel like I was wearing a circus tent. This jacket doesn’t come with a circus. My faith in inexpensive clothing restored, I recommend this jacket to anyone who needs a jacket to go outside. If you’re the type to wear a jacket inside, it’s a little bulky for that. And definitely too much jacket for sleeping. This jacket is the only two season jacket you’ll ever need. Unless you need something different, you know, for a nice night out or a formal event like a wedding. It does come in black, but I imagine the your suit jacket would poke out the bottom. That would be a faux pas. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

The quality of this jacket is amazing. Just like anything Carhartt makes, it's built to last. That being said, I purchased a small and it was too small. Every jacket I own is a size small, and they fit perfectly- including my other Carhartt jacket. For some reason, this one did not fit well. It's heavy duty, and I really thought about just keeping it and trying to make it work, but it wasn't comfortable to wear. Not only that, I would have only been able to wear a t-shirt underneath it. I needed it for outdoor workwear during the winter. I will consider ordering it again in a medium. I think that would allow me to be able to wear a hoodie underneath. It's an awesome jacket despite the weird fit of the small.

I'm a fan of Carhartt and I've been eyeing this jacket for a while. I've read that this jacket runs big so I decided to size down and order size Small. When I tried it on, I liked the way it looks but it felt somewhat uncomfortable. I went ahead and ordered size Medium (my normal size). I thought the Medium fit better but I still felt it was kinda big. I ended up giving the Small one to my wife and it looks great on her! My best advice is to try it on before you buy. If you can't, I'd just go with your regular size unless you like the slim fit. Otherwise, the jacket seems very durable, warm, and cozy.

Note: I am not the target clientele for this jacket. I am a woman with a relatively slight build. As such, I did not fit very well into the size chart dimensions. I would have ordered an extra small if that was an option. Jacket is warm and comfortable. Cons are largely cosmetic-related. Pros: - Very warm jacket. It keeps me nice and toasty down to freezing weather. For colder than freezing, I prefer longer coats. - Relatively light-weight. A lot of winter coats are extremely heavy. This one is mid-weight. - Feels durable. The fabric is sturdy and the coat seems well made. - Lots of pockets. I wish the side pockets had zippers, but they are a good placement for keeping your hands warm. Cons: - Snap buttons are difficult to close. Especially with gloved hands, the snaps are very difficult to get closed. You need one hand on either side of the fabric to press them together. - Too wide at the shoulders. This should not be an issue for the target clientele. - Bulky. If I was able to order a smaller size, this likely would not be an issue. Unfortunately, they do not offer sizes below small. - Fabric is stiff. The jacket keeps its shape when I wear it. Not really an issue, just looks a bit odd on me.

Always great for work and keeps you warm. Durable material! Will buy more. True to size, nice dark brown color. Loads of pockets. It is a bit heavy but with how warm it is and the fabric is wind resistant, it's worth it

I went back and forth on what type of jacket to get when the time came to buy a new winter coat. It gets very cold and snowy in the winter where I live, so I was a little hesitant to not buy some sort of puffy style waterproof jacket for those cold snowy days. This jacket has done the job though and I'm glad I went with it. It's very warm and blocks the wind out well and feels like it will last for many years.

DO NOT hesitate to buy this jacket…..it’s literally worth every single penny….it’s just perfect .

Superb Jacket - my first Carhartt and a great experience wearing it. I've been looking for a coat for a long time and struggled to find something that was warm and not a ski jacket. This thing is rugged - I imagine it will take some abuse and the more it wears the better it will look, it's that type of material. it's also very heavy, like a weighted blanket which makes you feel very snug when you put it on. I got a small and at 12 stone and 6ft with athletic build this is perfect for me.

Bonjour, Satisfait dans l'ensemble. La couleur correspond au descriptif, la coupe est bonne et il est agréable à porter malgré son poids. Il taille plutôt large -correspond au M de mes autres vêtements- en me fiant aux commentaires j'ai pris du S (171cm/61,5kg) et c'est nickel juste comme il faut. Il y a une poche intérieure de chaque côté, des poignets côtelés pour garder la manche en place et double fermeture (éclair et boutons pression). Un dernier point sur lequel je n'avais pas prêté attention est la position du curseur de la fermeture (à droite), juste un coup à prendre.
