Digital frame, well worth the price
I gave this as a gift, but we all enjoy it. The frame has handy features and is easy to use. One thing I didn't realize before purchasing was EXACTLY how one got the photos on the frame. I saw the option to insert a memory card so I assumed there would be a USB cable for transfer. This isn't the case. You need to put the photos on the memory card. I didn't have a card reader, so I went to Wal-Mart and bought a 'holder' for my 4GB card for [..]. That essentially turned it into a 4GB USB memory stick. Now I just plug that into my computer, add photos, and return it to the frame. I enjoyed the included Kodak software. It made it fast and easy to edit my pics, but it caused some incompatibility issues and I had to delete it. If it will work for you, it is well worth installing. I use my regular graphics program now. The frame screen size of 5X7 sounds smallish, but actually is just fine. We have it on a stand that is only about 4 ft. from the one chair and maybe 10 ft. from the other that we use regularly and the frame can be viewed fine. We can also see pics easily as we walk past this area repeatedly. I love that we can see our pics all the time now (or from 1p to 9P with the built in timer). Before I would have to sit at the computer and look at them, which is nice too, but I seldom did it. You can tell I love this frame, the good thing is that the recipient loves it too and has been so happy to have it.

Pretty decent picture frame
I bought three of these for Christmas presents after looking around at online reviews. The frame was very easy to use and load pictures. I liked the slide show feature with the ability to change setings like random and time each pic is displayed. If your pics are taken to match the orientation of the frame (i.e. hold the camera horizontal and lay the frame down longways), the resolution will look great. The one thing I disliked about this digital frame is that the screen is long and thin and doesn't quite fit standard picture sizes. If your picture does not match the orientation of the frame (i.e. you hold the camera vertical and the frame is still horizontal) AND you want to display the entire picture, the resolution will be crap. If you change the settings to 'fit to screen' and don't mind your photos being auto-cropped or if you have photo editing software and can crop the pics yourself, you can avoid this issue. Overall, I thought this frame made a great gift for family who was not very tech-savy. If I was to purchase one for myself, I would probably shell out a little more cash for a better model.

Great Item. Would make an ideal and thoughtful great gift.
This is my first digital picture frame. And I have to say I am very impressed with this model. Digital cameras are great. Instant feedback. You can take as many photos as you want, without worry because your only limitation is you memory card. But, what to do with all those pictures - you can't develop them all and display them easily. But these digital picture frames are fantastic. And this Kodak model seems like a winner. The picture frame comes in with a white matte and a black aluminum frame. But included are burgundy and silver mattes you can employ to add some color to your frame. The unit itself has a 7 inch display which is adequate, but not great (resolution is okay but expected for the price and technology). The frame has a touch screen for features (which pictures to display, time to show, transition effects and things like a timer for on/off of the frame). The features are fairly intuitive and do not require extensive study of the instruction manual (always a plus). However, you are not using a 'touch-screen' similar to an Ipod Touch, but rather you touch the edge of the screen to access features. You should be aware that this uses electricity (Silly Rabbit! I thought it ran on air), so there is a white cord that will run from the frame to your closest outlet (the cord is about 5 ft long). You can use either a memory card or a jump drive - which is very nice. It seems as if you have unlimited capacity for pictures then, which means you can add lots of pictures. Overall, this is a great unit. The picture resolution is not the greatest, but it is very decent and tolerable for anyone but the most choosy of photo bugs (and they probably wouldn't bother with this anyway). I have been able to see many great moments thanks to this little frame that I would not get to see regularly because I would not have developed the pictures. In short, this is a reasonably priced unit, with thoughtful features (like the on/off timer). This would make an awesome gift for a spouse, parents or grandparents (or a narcissist: self: how do I look today? :)).

Sufficient but not great
It came well packaged but had a crack on the side. It was in a place that would not be noticeable on display. The quality of the digital pictures was moderate, but not as good as I expected. I will plan to spend more money on a better quality frame the next time I make this type of purchase.

So Glad I Bought It!
I had a horrible digital photo frame on my desk at work. The quality of the images was very poor, the light settings were very low, and there was no way to get into the settings without the remote (so when the battery in the remote died that was a huge issue). I was putting up with it though. Finally last week, it died, so it was time for me to decide what to get to replace it. After a lot of research and reading reviews both here and on other sites, I finally settled on this frame. I wasn't quite sure what to expect, being that the listed resolution was pretty low, but I figured anything could be better than what I had. All I can say is I definitely made the right decision. Because this frame was just for my desk at work, it didn't need to be anything amazing. That said, I've already found more than I expected in this frame and am loving it. Even with there being a "low" resolution listed, the pictures are crisp, clear and bright. I am using an SD card to which I exported a big chunk of photos from iPhoto on my Mac (knowing that the frame didn't "support" Mac) and have had no issues at all. The frame menus make sense and there are quite a lot of features available. The ability to change how the photos fill the screen is great and being able to chose duration and transitions is something I didn't expect. The touch border is a great way to navigate the menus versus pushing buttons on a remote or on the frame while trying to view the screen at the same time. The fact that you can change the positioning of the stand is also a great feature in my opinion. For those who have a lot of portrait formatted photos, you can tell the frame to work in portrait mode, change the stand location, and you're all set. Plus, in both portrait and landscape mode, you have two options on where to put the stand so you can chose the best visibility point for your location. Probably my favorite feature of this frame is the ability to have it turn on and off automatically. This is great for me because I often will rush out of the office, forgetting to turn it off. With the timer you have the ability to set an on and off time to the minute and it works wonderfully. All in all, for the price, you just can't beat this little frame. Sure if you're looking for something to put up on a wall and display family photos, it may not be what your best bet but for me, being a desktop frame so I could look at photos of my wonderful son all day, it's put a huge smile on my face.

Poor documentation. Awkward to use.
I was looking for something simple to use. This is not it. It is not intuitively obvious and the documentation is very poor. Also I can rotate a picture and it stays rotated but if I zoom a picture it reverts back to the original. This is my first experience with a digital frame so maybe I'm just a dummy but I don't recommend it. I didn't load their software because I once bought a Kodak camera and the software for that was very intrusive and annoying.

Pros and Cons, but all in all a nice frame
I purchased two of these as gifts for family. I uploaded pictures onto them and plan on giving them as gifts for Christmas. This frame has a touch 'border'--the screen is not activated for touch. Arrows point to locations on the border that you touch. It is nice that there are no buttons, but I am worried that my older family might have trouble figuring it out. I purchased a 2 GB SD flash memory card to use with this. The memory card does not fit into my computer. In order to transfer pictures from my computer to my frame, I first open up my photos and drag the ones I want onto my desktop (I have a macbook). I connect my digital camera to my computer. Then I select all of the photos and move them to my digital camera, which has a thumbnail memory card. After they copy, I disconnect my camera from my computer and connect it to the frame-the frame has a USB drive. This same operation could easily be done with a flash drive instead of a camera. I insert the 2 GB SD card into the frame and then turn on the camera and my pictures appear. I go to "home" choose "actions" and then "select all." Next I choose "copy" and then for copy to I select the 2 GB SD card. In a few minutes, all of the pictures are transferred to the 2 GB SD card. This is kind of an annoying process and I really doubt that my older family members that I am giving these to could ever figure that out. I plan on transferring pictures onto the camera for them when I visit. Otherwise, there are a lot of functions. The pictures can be stretched to fit the screen or left in 4x6 with black bars on the sides (I think this looks better). Also, you can select how long images are displayed, between 3 seconds and 1 hour. The image colors are almost true to the actual images. The images are a bit grainy up close, which is disappointing. A lot of my images are very high resolution (over 10 megapixels), and even those images are a bit grainy. From a distance, this is not noticeable, but the image is pretty small--from a distance you can't even really the pictures so of course the grainy-ness doesn't show. The camera connects with a fairly long white cord (I would have preferred black) and the frame is attractive. All in all, I am happy with this purchase. Make sure you have a way of transferring your pictures to it because unfortunately, it is not as simple as plugging the frame into your computer (which I had been hoping for). Digital picture frames are still pretty expensive, but I am happy that I chose a Kodak over the other brands offered. I did a LOT of research about the different frames available before making my purchase and although there are some cons, compared to the other frames available, I would certainly recommend this frame to anyone looking for a digital frame.

Exactly What I Was Looking For
I didn't expect much with this frame, as it was below $100 dollars and I have never been very impressed with the Kodak brand (I not very partial to their digital cameras), but I read good reviews and decided to buy this for my parents for Christmas. The frame came and it looks great. I haven't even put one of the "home decor" pieces in yet, but it still looks marvelous just with the white. The screen's resolution is, for the most part, great. Keep in mind that the only pictures I put onto it were old 4x6s from the 80s and 90s, which I scanned at 300dpi with a regular HP All-In-One. They look really awesome. The vertical pictures are a tad pixely, just a LITTLE, but that may just be because of the resolution they were scanned at. I'm guessing pictures straight off a digital camera with a high MP count look even better. This is a perfect frame to get if you are cash-conscious, and will be especially great for my parents as they are not completely tech-savvy and it is extremely easy to operate. Thank you Kodak!

Functional and easy to use
I was actually really happy with the price and the function. The touch portion seems a little uncalibrated in places, but it’s a good product for the price and it made a nice gift.
