Unlike knife or thread-in inserts that cut and damage your material, our inserts are pressure fit inserts that won’t damage your working material. The Savannah Pressure Fit Threaded Inserts are designed to be embedded into various materials so that you can thread a 3/8” x 16 bolt or stud into your stock. The insert works exceptionally well in harder materials such as resins, acrylics and hardwoods. The inserts can also be used in softer materials as well such as some plastics and softwoods.
Each insert has opposing angled grooves on the outside to grip the material once the insert is pressed into the hole. The angled grooves dig into the material just enough too make the insert almost impossible to remove once its in place. No glue is necessary but may be used if so desired. The inserts also are made with a slightly smaller and smooth entry ring at the base. This makes placing the insert into a half inch hole easy. This gives you the perfect starting position for pressing it in
Once you have drilled a half inch diameter hole and have placed the insert with the smooth entry ring downward into the hole, its now time to press the insert in. To do this you will need a clamp (preferably a c-clamp) or a workbench or bench-top vise. Once your insert is set slightly into the hole, simply press it the rest of the way in for a tight, secure fitting insert. Now you have the ability to thread a 3/8” x 16tpi stud right into your stock piece!
Perfect for use in furniture making projects, cabinetry builds, general woodworking, wooden or composite material bottle stoppers, tap handles and a whole lot more! Work perfectly for my needs

Works perfect on my bottle stoppers. Easy to use. I set mine just below flush surface using a small punch and a non mating plastic head mallet.makes the mating surface of the bottle stopper neck and my decorative turned resin head just that much better. I think the price for what they are is fair. They work really well and I have had no failures with these (30+) will definitely purchase again. And have some ideas for use on some other wood turning projects. Gotta love it when ya find s winner that works!!! Best ones I’ve found so far.
