So glad I finally bought this!!
Okay so I never write reviews, and yet I rely exclusively on reviews when deciding to buy a product or not. I held out on buying this item for close to a year because of its many negative reviews. Finally I caved and decided to give it try and let me tell you, it did not disappoint! Getting all the way honest here, I'm a female in my twenties and I have the unfortunate curse of battling a mustache since my early teens. I've always stayed on top of it with waxing, plucking and of course my trusty flawless but it's still very much my biggest insecurity. When I first heard of epilators, I immediately wanted to try one but it seemed like none of them are actually made to be used on your face. Except for this cheap Remington one with the not so great reviews.. So I finally order it and give it a try. OMG you guys, it works!! It gets all those nasty hairs and maybe I'm just used to ripping the hair out already but it doesnt even hurt, it actually feels kinda like acupuncture in a way. The secret is finding the best angle and position while holding it on your skin. It says to hold skin tight and use the epilator in circular motions, I do that, I also go straight across, up and down, I hold it backwards, I use it in every single possible position until my upper lip is completely smooth and clear. I definitely recommend exfoliating before use to get all the dead skin out of the way so no hairs are blocked. And this is important.. when you're done, clean the the tweezers part with rubbing alcohol or witch's hazel or whatever you prefer, but make sure you clean it after every use or else it will spread bacteria and break you out bad!! So yes I recommend this product if you are cursed like me. It takes some getting used to before you get it down perfect, but you will achieve perfect results with the very first use, it's just gonna require some extra passes till you get it down.

So much better than tweezers or wax strips!!
This epilator is TERRIFIC! I have used wax strips (OUCH and sticky/messy), and tweezers, but this epilator blows all that out of the water! It’s almost addictive! I keep it next to my TV chair and just run it over my upper lip and chin every night. Those areas are baby smooth now. Buy this! You will love it! 😍

Buy from the vendor, NOT Amazon!!!
If you plan to purchase this item go back to Remington to buy it. Mine did not work. I went back and forth with Remington for a month trying to find all of the numbers to prove it was bought by me and that it was defective. Just last week I was told to send it back through Amazon and order a new one. Amazon and its vendors have let me down again. May stop buying from them.

Yes, it plucks
The primary question for most shoppers... does it actually work? The short answer is "yes, it does." In fact, for such a comparatively inexpensive device, I was almost surprised that it did. However, there are a few provisos here. Is it painless? Of course not. There is a certain amount of discomfort attached to yanking your facial hairs out, and no method takes the "ouch" out of the process, except perhaps the method that includes having a potent glass or two of good wine and even that is only a distraction. Ouch is ouch. So that answers the painlessness query. Is it effective? Yes, but (there's almost always a 'but'), you will need to be patient. First, hairs must be a certain length--long enough for the rotating sets of tweezers to grasp--and one quick pass is not going to be sufficient. I practiced moving it slowly, changing "angles of attack," pulling skin taught, and so forth. After a few days, I was pleased with the results. Why? Because I'd gotten into the habit of using a good electric razor, and that meant stubble in a matter of a day or two. WHY is it that as we get older those pesky chin hairs begin to multiply like weeds?? Seems so unfair really. By using this particular device (over the course of TIME), daily stubble has become a thing of the past. i emphasize TIME because hairs emerge from follicles at different times and grow at different rates. And, as mentioned earlier, they have to get long enough. You could accomplish the same result by hand plucking, of course, but for that you need a mirror, a good light, and perhaps to put your reading glasses on. But I can simply sit and watch a movie and let little "plucky" do the work. So far, so good.

Yes Pain, No Gain: Pulls hair, but only pulls, not removes
I bought this for my face. The Philips 800 was not doing it...neither does this. Mostly, it does pull the hair, no doubt...but- it does not pull it out; it just pulls it. Not since the earliest Epilady facial has an epilator done a good job. Now, this Remington EP1050CDN...packaged nicely, easy to assemble, but, that's it. It did take off the fine hairs where my lip meets my "mustache" area, but not on the whole mustache, just where it meets the lip. Zero use on the jaw line, zero. It takes a few hairs off the cheeks, but not enough to matter. Short fine hairs left behind, strong hairs left behind, removed a few of the longish, soft hairs. ISadly, taut skin, against the grain, circles, different angles of the epilator head...still searching for an epilator that works.

Hurts less than tweezing, and its alot faster!
This is so much better to use on your face verses a bigger epilator. I always get irritation from using the larger one. I decided to purchase this, to give it a try, to see if maybe this would be more convenient, and less painful. This was less painful than using the larger one-I own the Emjoi AP-18 Emagine Dual Opposed 72 Tweezer Head Epilator, which I use on larger spots, like my arms, and my feet. The larger epilator is great for removing hair from larger areas, and this is great to have for the smaller areas on the face. I used this on my chin, upper lip, under my bottom lip. This is embarrassing, but I'm really hairy (and I'm not exaggerating, it's very embarrassing and debilitating) I might really be suffering from hirsutism. This was really wonderful, the pain was a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10. I had to get this too, because the other day I tried waxing and ended up with scars underneath my eyebrows, and upper lip, I said, "No more, waxing my face", luckily they cleared up, but for two weeks I had scabs on my face. I have very sensitive skin. Everytime I use the larger epilator I always end up with irritation. This is not very powerful, but it has enough power to get the job done, I would say it got rid of 97% of my hair, which is great- so worth it, the last few hairs, I just pulled them out with a tweezer. This is really wonderful! I ordered it with prime, if it didn't work, they have hassle free returns. One thing I do have to say, I mean it's only about $12, it doesn't seem very durable, but I have 30 days to try it, and for $12 you can't really beat it, for what it does, it does a job, that to me is worth more than what it costs, and it hurts less than tweezing, and its alot faster!

MAGICAL tool & so worth it!!!
There are so many things I’ve been wanting to take the time to review but just haven’t done it - well I HAD to share my experience with this epilator! It’s my first time ever using one and I’m hooked! WHY did I wait this long!? This little thing is so efficient and useful. Of course there is pain with any kind of hair plucking, but I just take short breaks when I need to. I was never much of a waxing kinda gal (tried several times myself but had a hard time being precise & it just ended up a sticky mess. This magical tool can even grab up my tiny, thin facial peach fuzz - something I could never really do with tweezers! Something I’ve learned is you need to be exfoliating the areas you use this on so the new hair growth doesn’t get stuck beneath dead skin cells, causing ingrown hairs and other issues. A few days ago I just decided to go for it.....and I epilated both my armpits. I can’t tell you how happy I am with that impromptu decision I made! I did purchase the larger Braun epilator for future underarm plucking, but this did the job! It’s now 3 days later and I’m still as smooth as a baby!! What!? Ladies, guys, whoever is thinking about giving this a try - DO IT! Oh - I also used a small piece of frozen aloe leaf to rub on the areas I epilated and it soothed my skin right away, taking away the redness for good. I just bought a full aloe leaf from the grocery store, sliced it in half to reveal the actual aloe then small squares and froze. I really hope this is helpful for someone, as I greatly depend on other people’s reviews!!! I was iffy about getting this since there are some bad reviews, but with the price and the 2 year warranty (which is in the little info booklet) it’s totally worth it!

Save Your Money, Get A Razor
This technically works, but I'm no impressed. The device misses a lot of hair. I'd rather get knicked by a razor and know the hairs gone then get knicked by this and have to keep holding my skin taut and do it again and again. Not worth it, but two stars because the batteries work and the machine gets some hair (I think?).

Perfect for My Needs
I’ve had a small facial tweezer system for years, but suddenly I’d completely misplaced it. That’s when I decided to try this one. The charge is amazing and is lasting well even with virtually daily use. The plucking/tweezing is good and as long as you don’t let the hair get too long it’s relatively painless. The unit is very easy to hold so you can pluck/tweezer comfortably. The overall quality of the facial tweezer system is good. The performance is really good. The price is reasonable. I would definitely recommend this facial tweezer system.
