Gandalf's Glamdring Sword | The Hobbit Trilogy Replica | Stainless Steel Blade | Wooden Display Plaque | Certificate of Authenticity | 47 5/8" Overall

First, I would like to say that I dont know what other people have gotten, but this was exactly as described, the United Cutlery Glamdring sword. It is an excellent replica and amazing collectors item. Edit: Purchased this one from Jalic, Inc. This is a beautifully crafted replica of Galdalf's Glamdring sword. This particular version is the one used in the Hobbit and not the Lord of the Rings, though I don't know that there is really any difference. The blade is well crafted, perfectly straight, with no flaws and a wonderful brushed steal finish. The crossbar is also metal and engraved perfectly with the ruins shown in the movie. The Hilt is nicely weighted and wrapped in a leather, or faux-leather material around the hand grip. The entire sword has a good weight (around 8lbs.) and feels like an authentic medieval style sword (there is no way Ian McKellen was swinging this thing around in the LoTR movies one handed). I do not know for certain if the blade tongue runs all the way to the base of the hilt, but they are connected solidly and there is no movement between the hilt and blade. The sword that I received came in the authentic United Cutlery Hobbit packaging and included the full certificate of authenticity (see pictures). The only gripe I have is that during shipping the very tip of the sword became slightly bent. There is a small piece of rosin in the box that is supposed to protect the tip during shipment but it appears that the way it was transported still caused it to bend a bit. A testament to the quality metal used in construction it took a pair of pliers and a firm hand to re-adjust it. However, there was no lasting damage and unless you used a magnifying you could never tell. The base of the blade is imprinted with the authenticity seal with the United Cutlery registration number. !CAUTION! While the sword blade is blunted the tip of the sword is EXTREMELY sharp. This is NOT a toy and could easily cause serious bodily harm. Other notes: I don't know what the other people who ordered this product got, but what I received is the genuine article. Honestly I don't believe it's fair to downgrade an item because someone was shipping a knock off product.

Beautiful replica and quite heavy and authentic. Just like the staff it is an amazing collectible and every LotR fan would love it. Great feel, great quality, looks awesome! Great value for that price.

bought this for my LOTR obsessed girlfriend for Christmas. I already bought her Sting and was super impressed so me wanting a bigger sword to satisfy my interests (i.e. me man, me want big sword), I bought this to go with it. I love everything about this blade. It's light and balanced, put together very well, and sturdy as a MFer. The only and i mean only issue i have it that the blade is not sharp at all. The tip will poke you, but the edges are flat. I cannot complain too much about it because it is beautiful and the pictures on the page does show the blade will not be sharpened. all in all a must have for a LOTR collector.

The Foe-Hammer arrived today. My only other replica I own is Sting so I was expecting something totally different here. As soon as I opened the box I was amazed. The box Glamdring came in itself is beautiful and can be used for display, although I wish they had used cardboard instead of Styrofoam as it tends to fall apart. Glamdring itself is breathtaking!! This sword has a rich history within the Hobbit/LOTR universe and is one of the most iconic weapons wielded in Middle Earth. The blade is incredibly vibrant and really looks stunning. The crossguard has elven runes inscribed on it with blue jewel inlays. The handle has genuine blue leather which really helps to grip the sword and also looks great. The pommel is solid metal and helps to balance things out with the sword. The sword in total weighs a hefty 4 lbs, although it feels much heavier. Just like all the other UC Hobbit/LOTR replicas, it comes with a certificate of authenticity and a wooden wall plaque to display the sword. I couldn't recommend this more to anyone who is a fan of The Hobbit/LOTR or the coolest wizard ever, Gandalf!!

It’s a beautiful sword and a faithful replica of the movie version. It’s quite heavy, though, so keep that in mind if you’re planning to handle it rather than simply display it. Unfortunately, the pommel on mine came off within minutes of taking the sword out of the box. I was able to repair it, but for the price I shouldn’t have needed to. That’s the reason I’m giving it four stars rather than five.

I purchased this for my husband for our wedding day. He always joked about a “wedding sword” so I thought it would be fun to order him one! We bonded over our love of lord of the rings so Gandalfs made sense. It came packaged really well, he was so surprised- I mean look at the joy on his face! The sword is actually bigger than we both imagined. It is dull but the tip is sharp. Great replica, he says it’s perfect!

As soon as I opened the outer box and saw that the sword was double boxed and it was in the original packaging with Gandalf's picture and LOTR logo I knew I had the real deal. I opened the inner box to find a beautiful and well made sword. Very heavy and strong, beautiful and well crafted. Had a beautifully tight stiched dark blue leather handle and a beautiful pommel and hand gaurd. The sword is long and has nice elven indented writing on it ( not silk screened). It had a very nice display plaque with all the hardware included and a certificate of authenticity. I am very pleased with this purchase as I also got it for a very good price, This is the second sword I have purchased from LOTR collection ( I bought Sting) and I was just as pleased with it as I am with Glamdring. I am ready to take down the Balrog. I am now going to try and collect as many Hobbit and LOTR swords as there are being offerred.

Einfach eine perfekte Replique von Glamdring aus dem Hobbit sowie Herr der Ringe Filmen. Optik, Verarbeitung sowie der allgemeine Eindruck sind wie bei United Cutlery gewohnt top.( Als Vergleich dient bei mir Anduril). Ich kann eine uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung an jeden Herr der Ringe/ Der Hobbit Fan geben. Hervorragend war auch der schnelle Versand von Mila Sports. Ein Dank und eine Empfehlung auch in diese Richtung.

There isn’t a thing I disliked about this. It’s heavy, solid and clean! All of the writing is clear and the provenance honouring the original weta creators makes you feel like you are actually holding the weapon of Gandalf the grey! United cutlery has made something amazing and I recommend it 100% if your a fan of middle earth.

First LOTR sword I bought done by United Cutlery. I was skeptical at first, but I just got it and put it on my wall and I'm very pleased with the quality. Pros: The hilt / pommel / grip looks and feels great. The blue leather wrap is tight and well done. When you shake the sword, you can't feel any movement between the blade and the hilt which means it was put together well. The plaque that it comes with for mounting on your wall looks very nice. Blade is straight and looks well made. Cons: The blade needed to be wiped down with a soft cloth to make it clean but that was no big deal. The hardware that came with the mount (wall screws and anchors) suck. The screws wouldn't even thread into the anchors without getting incredibly stuck. I ended up having to drill out the anchors to make it work. This doesn't affect the rating though since any screw/anchor will work with the mount and you don't have to use these ones. I highly recommend these united cutlery swords if you want to fill your LOTR collection. They come with a certificate of authenticity which names the original sword designers and blacksmiths from Weta Workshop which means they stayed true to the design from the movie. Since Weta swords are all sold out and cost upwards of $12,000 , these are a great substitute. I will be picking up Sting soon.
