So let me start off by praising these thick black brush rakes. They are BEASTS. I have thick stiff paddle brushes, and crazy hair that goes almost to my butt. The hair that falls out daily is already a lot of bulk because each hair is so long, but I also have to say that when I used this type of rake when I went through Telogen Effluvium they tirelessly emptied pounds (figuratively) of hair from my brush multiple times per day. It was crazy. I basically just rake my brush right after I use it, or if a bunch of hair gums it up, then I rake it so it's not tangling the hair on my head. The thick black ones I can just rip through my clogged brush and get that hair out of there in seconds. I bought a cheaper version of one of these a long time ago and it broke (and even that cheap one lasted for years), but when I bought these and took them out of the package, I could already feel the difference in thickness and strength. I've seriously put these through intense stress testing this last month+ and they look brand new. I put a video on here so you can see the abuse I put it through on the brush, and it takes it like a champ. (Also, stop looking at my dirty bathroom counter. I cleaned up the bathroom later that night, hah :)). Now, as to the smaller metal rakes... not so much in my brush. With the huge hard plastic paddle bristles and gobs of my crazy hair the metal tines were bending at odd angles. I was just fine if I never used them since the 2 black rakes are SO GOOD, but I discovered a great use for them anyway: I have a velcro-strapped shoulder brace and it keeps getting gummed up with lint and hair and carpet fibers (I toss it on the floor under my deck when I'm not using it. I know, I know.) and then the velcro doesn't stick well anymore and it keeps flapping off. Well, let me tell you these little metal rakes cleaned that velcro right up, and super quick, too. I had tried tape, vacuum, a lint roller, tweezers. I was losing my freaking mind, and then I had a bizarre idea to use the metal hair rake and voila. Modern problems require modern solutions. Now I just keep one in my desk drawer. These are GREAT brushes at a fantastic price and they're super easy to use.

Having read the reviews before buying, I admit I was just a little bit hesitant due to some reviewers mentiong that the metal bristles on one of them were easily bent out of shape. I was very pleased to find that didn't happen to me, and I have an idea why. I think the reviewers who had that problem were likely using it incorrectly. If you try to drag the tool in one shot from the top of the brush to the bottom, you'll likely bend the metal bristles because of all the hair it's trying to rake out of the brush. What I did was to use short, quick strokes working my way down the brush. Using this method I didn't have a problem with bent bristles, and it cleaned the hair from the brush quickly. I used the other cleaner with the plastic bristles to clean my Unbrush that I use to detailed my wet hair. I had no problem with any of those bristles breaking like some reviewers did. I think an important point to remember is to be gentle when using them, don't be impatient and try to clean the brush with one or two hard strokes. If used properly these should last a long time. I found these very easy to use, and it didn't take a lot of time, either. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

For the price, it’s a deal to get two sets. I saw listings for only one set for the same price. It really does get a lot of the hair but not the lint/dust that’s stuck to my boar bristle brush. You can still rake your brush with the tool to get as much of it out, then wash it with soap and a toothbrush afterward. I used the plastic tool to scrub my brush with castor soap, after raking the stuck hair with the metal tool. The collected hair can get stuck on the metal rake so be careful not to cut your fingers. I try to fan the metal prongs to loosen the stuck hair.

These make cleaning your brushes so easy. Love it.

As a stylist this is my savior. It cleans even the most packed hair covered in products and really helps to pull out not just hair but the dust and other junk that gets stuck in brush. Works great on all sizes and types and can't beat the price really. It's lasted a long time and I use it daily so very effective . Small enough to easy pack in any bag to carry all around it's a great buy

Cheap but effective the metal teeth bend very easy and some already fell off. Along with the plastic brush too. For the price it does its job enough.

Great problem solver! I love that this is a two pack— I have a bathroom upstairs and one downstairs, with brushes in both bathrooms. So now my brushes are always clean. It’s very easy to use, and the cleaner is very sturdy. The price too was extremely reasonable and fair, making the value for the money fantastic. I’ve had this set for about a month, and the quality is excellent. Highly recommended.

Beim 1. Versuch dachte ich, dass das irgendwie der totale Schrott sei, der mir die Fitzelei nur wenig erleichtert. Ich bin froh, dass ich die Bürsten/Kämme behalten und ihnen eine 2. Chance gegeben habe. Beim 2. Mal hatte ich dann den Dreh heraus und im Nullkommanichts war die Haarbürste sauber.

Dieses Produkt eignet sich perfekt zum reinigen der Bürsten. Man kann ganz einfach jeden auch so kleinsten Dreck aus der Bürste geben. Doch das Metall ist etwas biegsam. Die Qualität ist in Ordnung, aber lässt zu wünschen übrig.
