As long as the machine supports USB C charging it should be fine

Would this work with a lenovo Chromebook S340

Sorry I don't know the Chromebook at all but can tell you the charger is definitely USB C and was bought, in my case and if anybody is looking, as a spare for a corporate Lenovo Thinkpad X390.
