My lo currently has a smartbug scooter (set up like a trike), do you think it'd be hard to adjust to how this rides (needs a taller seat)?

The seat can be moved up or down depending on the child's needs. No pedals on the scouter, so the toddler learns to move his/her feet to move the scouter. It is really stable and made well..no plastic. Enjoy!

This ride-on scoot-cycle is made with metal axles, metal main chassis, with a plastic shield over front axle. Plastic wheels with hard rubber tires, metal fork shaft with protective fork connection shield. Plastic shaped seat has metal mounting shaft, and handle bars are metal with rubber grips.

My son is 18 months and 34.5 inches tall. Will he get much use out of this bike? If not, is there another version someone can recommend?

My 15 month old daughter still has hers on the shortest setting on the adjustable seat. So I think your son will get lots of use out of it. :)

Does this bike come put together or does my husband have to put it together?

It does not come already assembled. You have to do it.
