Stay charged and ready.
I live where it gets cold in the winter: 20 below temperatures are common, and we plug our cars in, not to charge them, but to keep the engines warm enough to start more easily. Adding one of these to the vehicle to maintain charge in batteries in vehicles not used often, but which need to be ready to go, has proven to keep even batteries nearing the end of their service life topped off and ready to go, even in severe cold. The combination of engine heater and this trickle charger makes starting the vehicle as easy as starting when it's 60 degrees out. The added draw to the circuit is so small as to be nonexistent compared to the engine heater, and it has proven to be a great way to keep the vehicle ready to go. Notably, though, any battery in a vehicle not being used on at least a weekly basis should have some sort of means to maintain its charge levels, and for the money, this is an inexpensive way to prolong battery life in vehicles used intermittently, or even daily drivers in adverse conditions.

Good for the price
These seem to work fine. The only thing is the wires and wire insulation is very thin compared to other trickle chargers I've had in the past. As long as you handle with care I would expect no issues from them. I give them 5 stars as I would probably buy them again.

2 Pack
This 2 pack of smart technology automatic 12 Volt battery trickle chargers at 1000mA that float charge operate perfectly.Love that these come with optional battery terminal hook-ups including the alligators and the closed loop ring ends to connect with. In some equipment like larger generators, they will have a trickle charger adapter already installed with the matching quick connect connector so, the extra connectors included will not be needed. These are easy to use and are excellent battery management charge systems for most chemistry configurations.AWESOME Equipment!

Good little chargers.
I have 4 and they are used frequently and work well.

Keeping It Charged!
Well made and simple to use. They do what it says they will and I have no fails yet. They keep my batteries charged up here in the Northern Wisconsin Chill.

So Far So Good
I don't expect these to last too long given the country of origin and cost but we shall see.I put a new SLA battery (Sealed Lead Acid but it may actually be an AGM Absorbed Glass Mat) in my 12.5kW generator last year and never got around to putting a maintenance charger on it. I got the two pack of the 1A (1000mA) smart trickle charger and put one on my boat battery and the other on the genny batt. It took around 30 hours for the genny batt to drop to a trickle charge but I'm pleased that it did charge. The boat batt, basically a good-sized FLA battery (Flooded Lead Acid), took a around two days, but it too dropped to a trickle charge. They don't provide a digital display, but they seem to work quite well. So far, so good.I see some people don't understand how a battery charger works. In order to charge a battery, the charging voltage MUST BE HIGHER than the battery's floating voltage. Think of it this way: Understand that voltage is pressure. In order to get more energy into the battery it has to be PUSHED in by a pressure higher than what is in the battery. That is accomplished by increasing the charging voltage over the battery's voltage (Delta V). The higher the voltage difference (Delta V) the more pressure pushing energy into the battery and hence the higher the charging current. These chargers, as are most chargers, are a combination of constant voltage and constant current chargers. They have a Wattage maximum built into them which limits the overall output buy capping the Delta V to only provide a max 1A of output current. The instructions actually do a decent job of describing this process. If only people would read them.Do you think your cell phone battery is a 5V battery? The chargers have a 5V output - right? The battery in your phone is most likely a 3.7V Lithium cell. Delta V allows it charge.
