Do they tarniah / change color easily?

Yes they do change after awhile. I was very dissapointwd because I use high quality wire and hated that these jump rings tarnish so fast

Are these strong and sturdy?

They are decent. I would look into split jump rings if you want something tougher. They look like key rings but smaller

How many karates is the gold?

There are no karats to this gold. It is a metal that’s just looks gold

What is the base metal?

I purchased these jump rings about 1 yr old. They have not tarnished. I don’t know what the base metal is, though I would guess it is steel. For the price, these are worth it.
