Compact Practical And Well Built
The Smith and Wesson Benji Folding Knife is a thoughtfully designed everyday carry tool that packs several useful features into a compact size. The blade arrived sharp and ready to use, making clean, precise cuts for routine tasks such as opening packages, cutting cord, and other everyday jobs. I really like how compact and lightweight it is. It fits comfortably in a pocket without feeling bulky, and the integrated money clip doubles as a convenient pocket clip that keeps it secure and easy to access. The built in bottle opener is also a nice addition, making it even more versatile for daily use. The frame lock provides a solid, secure feel while the knife is open, giving added confidence during use. The handle offers a comfortable grip, and the overall construction feels durable and well made. The quality of the materials and fit and finish exceeded my expectations for a tool of this size. Overall, this is an excellent combination of portability, functionality, and craftsmanship. It is a reliable everyday carry option with useful multi purpose features, making it a great value for anyone looking for a compact and dependable pocket tool.

Great sidekick
Holy cow this is a sharp knife. Great styled tonto blade, pocket clip is strong enough not to worry about it falling out. Very versatile for its smaller size. I really do like this knife. Great sidekick.

Built like a tank
This is the kind of utility knife you can run over with a car/truck/bus and not worry about it. And they kindly added a bottle opener, which, IMHO, should be standard on any small tool like this. The blade/pivot is stiff out of the box, so it can't be flipped open one handed, at least not at first. I'll probably pull the frame and dry/clean/lube the pivot and bearing if there is one. But that's just because I would like it to be an easy flipper. And I like to rebuild my knives to my liking. The blade is small, sharp and solid. You could easily use this for some light prying work and not damage the blade. It's a beast. It also comes with a clip on the back/lock side, which I didn't notice from the pics. Nice addition, and easy to remove if you don't need it. I was able to pick up this knife during a speed-sale, so I got it REALLY cheap. But I think the normally discounted price is more than fair.

Great with a bit of effort
Love this damn knife, sharper out of the box than anything I’ve purchased (like a razor) including some well regarded Kershaw models. Personally think it’s a great look, feel, and utility for real life EDC. To be certain I experienced some challenges with full deployment via the flippper which I think are exacerbated by the flipper length itself.. just a shade longer and i think that solves quite a bit. In practice loosening the tensioner rather slightly ( while still keeping the blade firmly centered in the housing ) and intentionally and repeatedly working the flipper and equally just exercising the locking metal with prolonged and repeated pressure while open.. I get a reliable and stress free full flip open whether the open is occurring vertically up or down as well as horizontally. Reserving a star for needing to spend the time to figure that out and the high likelihood this is a common issue for others.. Though I read that full disassembly may be needed to ease that locking bar angle.. I personally didn’t need to. Worth the effort!

A simple, reliable little knife that punches above its weight
The Smith & Wesson Benji Folding Keychain Knife is a great little knife for the price. It’s compact enough to fit anywhere and is under 3 inches when folded, making it easy to carry on a keychain or toss in a pocket without noticing it. Despite the small size, it feels sturdy and well built, not flimsy or toy-like. The blade came sharp and has held up well for light everyday tasks. After a short break-in period, it opens smoothly and easily, and the lockup feels solid. The modified tanto blade shape is practical, and the G10 handle gives it a secure grip even with its compact size. Overall, this is a simple, reliable little knife that punches above its weight. If you’re looking for an affordable, compact everyday carry option from Smith & Wesson, this one is easy to recommend.

Nice little knife.
Nice little knife. The clip is more of a money clip than a belt or pocket clip. Tensioner requires a little loosening before you can successfully flick it open, though that screw is very tight. Be careful not to strip screw head. Sharpens nice, has a great look and design. Wouldn't carry it for personal protection, but good all around knife. I would recommend, and for the price I plan on buying more.

Great Lock Safety But Very Heavy
TL;DR Summary: Rock-solid frame lock safety and tank-like construction, but noticeably heavy for a keychain knife (~2.7 oz / 77g) with a stiff flipper detent that requires a wrist flick to fully open. Rating: 3/5 stars. THE GOOD (Pros): - Unbeatable Frame Lock Security: Hands down the best lockup among micro-knives tested. Passed the spine-tap / impact test with zero movement or play. - Indestructible Build Quality: Feels like a tank in the hand with solid metal construction that can take serious abuse. - Smooth One-Handed Closing: The frame lock disengages easily, making single-handed closing effortless and safe. THE BAD (Cons & Ergonomic Flaws): - Too Heavy for Keychain EDC: Weighing 77g (2.7 oz), it is far too heavy to hang comfortably on a keychain without dragging down your pants. - Stiff Flipper Action: Overcoming the detent with your index finger requires a lot of force and quickly causes finger soreness. - Requires Wrist-Flick Technique: Because the stubby blade lacks momentum, pulling the flipper alone often leaves the blade half-open unless paired with a precise wrist flick. VERDICT: A tough, rugged mini-knife with outstanding lock reliability, but held back by its excessive weight and stiff deployment. Recommended if durability is your top priority and you don't mind carrying a heavier tool.

Terrific little box cutter-like knife
Love these little box cutter knives; have purchased several over the years. They are nice and small, a little bigger than two thumb drives side-by-side when folded up. They hold a good edge and are sharp. The straight edge of the blade makes for easier handling. It locks well, but then you can unlock it pretty easy with the standard squeeze-to-the-side-with-your-thumb unlock. Great, quality little knife.
