I have been using these blades for many years the extra length is good to reach up underneath the siding or into areas that are hard to reach great for cutting nails wood etc. The blade is thin enough to bend to get into where you need to.

I've used other brands of "Fire & Rescue Blades" which all do the trick, but they don't last very long. I've torn down a complete garage with just one blade and think that it will probably last another one. You get what you pay for, at this price your getting the best at the same cost as the NO NAME blades.

these blades are the real deal, very strong, durable, keep their sharpness, and are up for any challenge. Ive cut metal cast iron wood all were no match for this blade

I used this to teach Fire Explorers how to extrication on a simulated bus vs. car wreck and they worked great. It cut the T posts with no problem.
