Hubby ordered this for his airplane but there really wasn’t much room to put his so now he is using it in his boat. It keeps the thing dry and free of mildew smell

I am revising my Review to 5 star. Fortunately I did not toss the broken unit in disgust. I contacted Caframo Customer Service after reading another Amazon Review. Within 24 hours they have offered to ship me a replacement if I provide the serial number. I can do that! I will continue to use and recommend these great little heaters that keep mildew at bay in the tropics. First review was one star. Broke after 14 months. Love these for mildew control. I have had three of these set on timers for twenty years. They lasted that long until I bought from Amazon. Two arrived broken. No padding. I kept the replacements (also packaged poorly with the item box inside an Amazon box-no padding) and one just broke. These are expensive but worth it when they last.

This is a great item. It heats slightly so you’re not required to empty the water. Definitely the go to for long time reliability and no maintenance

I put this in a tenant's small walk in closet. The closet is in an old house and an outside wall and over time will have some black mold along the baseboard and unused leather items will get a film of mildew or mold. So far after a couple of months they are happy with it, though I think it will take time and some damper weather to know for sure. Very quiet operation. I had an electric outlet installed inside the closet for it and the bonus they like is they charge their cordless vacuum in there too.

I have two of these and they prevent condensation inside the boat. Electrical consumption is very low and with a box fan running, the boat has no condensation and mold is at a minimum. Keep in mind it won't heat the interior, it just keeps the air above the dew point. Might buy a third one next winter. Note we are in the SF Bay area, so we don't get a freeze, but it can be in the low 40's and rainy.

This is my second one. The first one lasted about about 2.5 years. No clue why it stopped working. We use in a small bathroom that has no window and poor circulation from an overhead fan. We need to leave the bathroom door closed or the cat will knock things off the shelf. It seemed to keep the moisture at bay. I noticed a big negative difference a few weeks after it died so I got this new one. Unfortunately the fan blades were hitting a screw inside right when plugged in brand new. Took it apart and easily adjusted and it seems fine now.

This product worked great initially. After about a month though it started to make noise and developed such an unbalanced vibration that i stopped using it out of fear it would trip the breaker, or even worse, lead to a fire if it got worse. it appears to me that the motor prematurely wore out such that it became out of balance. It should have lasted much, much longer! This product was recommended to me by several personal acquaintances, so I am disappointed but suspect maybe I got a lemon. I have not reached out to the company to ask for a replacement b/c I assume it'll be more waste of my time.

Perfect for small closet, keeps mold out, quiet

I use the Stor-Dry to keep my RV dry during the winter months. This is my third unit. After many years, I had to replace one that conked out. Obviously, I am happy with the product as I keep coming back to purchase it. The low power draw means I can safely leave it unattended.

Really good product to ward off the moisture which can cause mold. It has the right amount of heat the disk doesnt heat up just remains warm therefore no worry of a fire starting.

We live by the ocean so it's damp! Our son lives on a boat and told us to get this and it's amazing. Really keeps the damp at bay over the winter with a hint of warmth. It's not a heater!! It moves slightly warm air to keep damp from getting a hold and it costs the same as a light bulb

Seems to work well but no on/off switch- just the plug.
