Good value, quality item
Have several All Clad pots/pans. Needed a larger fry pan and this fit the bill. This is sold at a great price given that it includes the lid. As with all All Clad products, it is built well and to last. Easy maintenance. Heats evenly and is oven safe. Highly recommend. You won't be disappointed.

Worth every penny, ditch the "non stick" cancer and get this!
I have been using this pan for awhile now and it is exactly as advertised. I love not worrying about bad chemicals and micro pieces of pan getting into my food. It is not scary if you know how to cook with it. There truly is a reason restaurants use stainless steel for all their cooking and we should do it at home as well. I love finishing meals off in the oven and broiling to get that cheese top bubbling just right. I have a small handle cover that works great to keep it cool and easy to hold. The only thing I did wrong was buy the smaller size. I wish I got the bigger one so I could make larger meals too but eventually I'll buy the big boy too. For a family of 2, this pan can handle most of our meals but when I want to make big batches with leftovers, it's a little too small. The pan feels super sturdy and strong like it will last forever. I don't use metal utensils anymore because I did at first but noticed small dinks in the surface. Probably from the metal even though it "can" be used. I'll stick to high-end rubber or wood for now. Cleaning is so easy, check the internet for tips but adding a little water to the hot pan to scrape it up works well or simply scrubbing with soap. When it gets stains or spots, I hit it with bar keepers friend them give it a really good soap and hot water scrub because personally I don't want any trace of barkeeper's on there but that's just me being over protective. After a cleaning with barkeeper's it comes out looking brand new. I've made scrambled eggs, tatortot breakfast hotdish, fries eggs, chicken, steak, shrimp, pork chops, and so much more. Best pan I've ever gotten. Don't settle for thin or knockoff stainless, pay more now, never regret it later

Great pan
I love this skillet . We recently discarded all our non stick frying pans . Size is perfect for pancakes , steaks , fish and other dishes . You just have to pre heat for 2-4 min on medium low heat with oil in it or butter for pancakes and voila perfect frying in this gem . Probably going to buy the smaller size later

Love this skillet!
After much research and deliberation I finally purchased this skillet - my first pro level stainless steel skillet. I love it! Made chicken Marsala - it was such a pleasure cooking it in this pan. Absolutely even heat across the pan. As recommended, heat the pan first, then add your oil. Had no issue with food sticking. Highly recommend this skillet.

Great pan, definitely on the large size
I bought this pan for use everyday for both breakfast and dinner, based on a recommendation from Cook's Illustrated. Once again, they've steered me right. Heating in this pan is very even, and it's a great weight. I do wish the handle were at a better angle for use by those of us on the short side - the angle makes it a little awkward to pick up the pan, so a curved handle would have been better. I also wish it had a grab handle on the opposite side, since this is a LARGE pan to maneuver. That all said, I'll definitely be buying the 10" version of this pan to add to my arsenal. A note for those who are finding food still sticks with this pan: I had the same problem when I first used it, despite following all the instructions. With some research (and considerable trial and error), I learned that: 1) I need to use a MUCH lower heat with this pan than my old, cheap pans. Now I'm turning the gas to 3-4, where I used to turn it to 6 or 7. Of course, it depends which burner I use, since I've got one of those ranges with different sizes - but better to start lower and add heat than try to go the other way. 2) I preheat it BRIEFLY before adding my oil and/or butter. I find that 30-60 seconds is about right, then butter/oil for another 45 seconds, then I get a perfect, easy-release omelette (without teflon!). 3) If I get oil discolorations on this, it's because the pan was too hot or too big for what I'm cooking. 4) Oil discolorations can be removed with Barkeeper's Friend. If a simply scouring doesn't work, I make a paste of the powder and water, and let it sit for up to an hour. Make sure to use gloves if you use this cleaner, since the acid can cause irritation. Overall, I'm very happy with this pan and can't go back to my old ones, even the professional nonstick types.

Love it
This is a perennial winner of America's Test Kitchen's best frying pan award. What else do you need to know? Get it. The 12-inch D3 comes with a lid, and is perhaps the best pan for general-purpose cooking or frying on the market - at any price point. Pros: Classic All-Clad "D3" construction. All-Clad is famous for patenting a superior way of making pans. In short, the exterior is corrosion-resistant stainless steel. The interior is made of aluminum which is both lightweight and helps transfer heat evenly. Between the mass of the steel and the layering of the metal, the D3 pans have some of the best heat-spreading on the market - even when used on an electric on induction oven, they perform better than other pans. Creates the best fond. Fond is the flavorful stuff that sticks to the bottom of the pan. For instance - if you're browning some meat in the pan, a layer of fat and seasoning will stick to the bottom. Once you've done that, you add vegetables and perhaps some sauces. Between the water cooking out of the vegetables and the sauces, this layer of stuck-on stuff loosens up, and dissolves to make your food that much more delicious. The best frying and heat retention. As said, the D3 is made better. Short of getting a heavy iron or ceramic pan, nothing retains heat and enables consistent frying like an All-Clad. Great design. Long handle helps stability, and has a "thumb groove" to help you feel the angle without looking. The included lid fits well. The gentle rounding between the bottom and sides means nothing sticks in the corners. Lovely design for a pan. All stainless steel exterior. If something is stuck, hit it with steel wool or whatever. The pan can take it. You never have to worry about being too rough with it (within reason - be nice to your pans!). Cons: Expensive. The D3 is totally worth it, but it's not a cheap pan. It's good to know what you're doing in the kitchen before you plop down the cash for an All-Clad. Heavy. Steel is one of the heavier construction types. This helps heat retention, but this pan will require 2 hands for many people. This is not a nonstick pan! I see so many reviewers complaining that things stick to the pan. Of course they do. That's how metal pans work. But you can avoid this. Some tips: Swirl oil in a hot pan to create a nonstick surface before cooking. Learn to deglaze a pan - use water, either from cooked food or sauces, to loosen up stuck bits toward the end of cooking. And clean the pan immediately after use. Most stuck-on material is easily removed if you apply some elbow grease while it's warm. Overall: Just the best. Retains heat, spreads heat well on any stove type, comes with a lid, is shaped well, and it's stainless! It's amazing.

Don’t hesitate. If you’re looking it this pan, buy it!
I had bought a cheap stainless steel pan at Fred meyers for $30 and thought it was a hell if a pan. I’ve had cast iron my entire life (still have and use). This pan showed me how great stainless steel is. I decided I needed a fully clad pan with a lid and my research led me to this pan. Just got it in today and after the first wash I went straight to cooking my meal prep of choice for the week, ground beef and cabbage. The pan blew me away, much better than expected! The clean up was amazingly quick and smooth. Shines like new. I use bar keepers friend after a dawn scrub with a scrub daddy. I am all in on All-Clad and will begin building my new collection. Definitely get this pan if you’re wanting to invest in a high quality amazing pan you’ll have for life. Couldn't be happier. I have a new knock out gift for loved ones. Thanks All-Clad for such a great product.

Best Pan Ever!
I wish that there were dozens of stars to click. This frying pan might be the absolutely best piece of cookware that I have ever purchased. I admit that I dithered about buying it. It is (for me) expensive. But oh my goodness, it elevates the cooking of everything I’ve used it for. I cooked steaks yesterday. No change in the seasonings or anything else. They were the best steaks I’ve ever cooked and they were done minutes before the usual length of time. I’ve decided to try to buy one piece from the All-Clad D3 stainless steel collection every year. (Again, the price.) I wish I had bought this pan years ago. It’s a keeper and will probably outlast me!

Reluctant fan
Told myself it wasn't worth the money. It is- needs very little heat and disperses it across the cooking surface magnificently. Needs you to learn how to get the best from stainless cookware (and maybe a spot of toothpaste to restore the gleam!)

Great pan!
This is a great pan I have not found comparable in feel, weight or even distribution of heat made in Australia yet. It is non stick if you know how to use stainless steel. I have had this pan since Jan 24 and used it daily and still looks great bar some scratches (it’s SS it will scratch with use) but cleaning is simple just use normal dish soap after each use and then each Sunday I do a deeper clean with Bar Keepers Friend (cream or powder both work fantastic for stainless steel) to keep it shiny. I do recommend researching how to cook with stainless steel as most comments re the non stick are simply from people not knowing how to cook with it.

Brilliant! A joy to use.
I bought the 10 inch first and was so impressed I bought the 12 inch as well. They heat evenly. Food has not stuck in the pot, just make sure the pot is hot before putting in anything. It's easy to get food stuff out of these pots because of their internal design. They are also easy to clean. One operative in the house missed not having two handles on the 12 " pot, but I have not missed that facility at all.

Hervorragende Pfanne, absolut lohnende Anschaffung!
Hervorragend Pfanne.
