Munchkin Warm Glow Baby Wipe Warmer with Nightlight, White

This wipe warmer is absolutely awesome. I kind of wish we'd bought one for our two previous children. We've always steered away from wipe warmers in the past, because we heard they dried out wipes and made them brown, rough, and sand-papery (and a relative had a wipe warmer that did just that). Cold wipes are better on a baby's bottom than something rough and dried out! And the other reason we never bought one is that we thought they were a frivolous extravagance. Fast forward to our third baby, who is three weeks now. He has a MAJOR dislike of being cold. He would literally shriek every time a normal, cold wipe touched his bottom. Our other two kids really didn't care, but he just howls and sobs. So we've gone from viewing these as an extravagance to a necessity, at least for certain kids, and we went shopping for one. Ultimately, we picked this model, and we love it. Here is what is great about it: 1. Wipes are VERY nice and warms. Some people say they are lukewarm or "not much warmer than air temperature", but they either aren't keeping the top flap closed or they have a defective unit. Mine is clearly not not defective and keeps wipes at a perfect feeling warm temperature. 2. Even the last wipes at the bottom of the container are nice and warm. Some reviewers have said only the top wipes of a full container are warm (this unit warms from the top), but I just can't understand how that could be, except for the reasons mentioned in point 1. Mine are very nice and warm all the way down. 3. These stay very nice and moist. Since my son is a newborn, I only use one, or at most two, wipes per changing, meaning I go through them slowly. Yet they still don't dry out, and they are just as moist as they are when I buy them, only warmer. 4. I've seen people write reviews of other brands of warmers who say they have to do things like put a wet sponge at the bottom of the warmer to keep things moist, periodically do complicated cleanings to remove bacteria/mold, etc. None of that will be an issue with this brand. They stay warm without any sponges or other "fixes" at the bottom, and they are solid, non-porous, smooth molded plastic inside with no seams, cracks or crevices. So if you did need to clean one out (which I haven't had to do at this point), a quick swipe with an anti-bacterial wipe should be all that is required to fully sanitize it. 5. Since this unit warms from the top, you can keep a diaper or a tube of Desitin sitting on top of it, and that will be warm for baby too. If find my son doesn't care too much if his diapers have been pre-warmed, but I did try it and can say it works for that if you child needs a warmer diaper (maybe in the winter it will matter more). Cons - This are minor 1. The night light, as others have said, is worthless. You can't see anything by the light it gives off... certainly you can't see if a baby's bottom is clean after they have a dirty diaper. And you don't need the nightlight to find this unit either, since the button on the front glows very softly. So I really see no purpose for having this... they should either improve the quality of light it gives off or remove it and lower the price a few pennies. But, this doesn't impact my five start rating since I bought this to warm wipes, not light the room (and it is exceptional at warming wipes). 2. It would be nice if it were slightly deeper to accommodate a standard, full stack of wipes. If you've ever seen the standard plastic wipes dispenser that comes with a box of, say, Huggies wipes, you know what I'm talking about. This warmer is sized similarly to those boxes, but has a somewhat smaller capacity due to the extra insulation in the base and the warmer in the top, which limits the space left for wipes. Maybe it had to be that way to keep the product from being too clunky, or maybe the warmer wouldn't be able to warm the bottom of the stack if the space was larger, but I just thought I'd mention it. It's not enough of an issue to remove a star. All in all, this is an excellent product. It does exactly what it promises, and is essential for cold-intolerant babies!

I love this! I don't have a baby - I use it for myself. I have severe RA and some days I just can't get out of bed from the pain. This sits next to my bed and has Amazon Baby Wipes Sensitive in them Amazon Elements Baby Wipes, Unscented, Tub & Refills, 720 Count (it won't let me link SENSITIVE) I get to cleanse my face with a warm wipe every morning and evening. I also use this for a quick wipe down on those days I can't shower...nice warm wipes are always nicer against the skin vs shocking cold ones (in the summer I may change my mind on that). I would recommend this for anyone who has an illness, elderly or just wants warm wipes to cleanse with. There is a long plug, and about a foot from the warmer, it has an unplugging port so you don't have to unplug from the wall. For those that are having trouble with the large top opening along with the smaller top: there are two latches, one on each side, when you close the large top you move the latches and it locks the top on. Then you just open the smaller green top to get your warm wipe out. I did add 1/2 cup water over the wipes, like the directions said, no dry wipes so far. When it's really cold, the wipes do chill fast. Grab your warm wipe and hold most of it in your clenched fist so it stays warmer longer. Once you take out the wipe, quickly wipe your skin with it. I don't see this as a big problem when the weather warms more. This isn't a fault of the warmer, it's just science and cold air. ***This has been running for 2 days and nights now and there is actual warm condensation under the green lid. The wipes are toasty warm when they come out and moist. The nightlight puts out a nice glow, not too bright but enough to see things around the area. I just hope this has lasting quality to it. Oh, since it's right next to my bed and the top gets nice and warm - I put my hot coffee or tea on the lid to help it stay warm as I drink. I do notice the right side stays warm and the left side is cool. Don't know if this is how it's supposed to work but the wipes are warm when I pull one out. 5.5 stars ****I've used this for a full week, day and night. I LOVE IT! I'm also pulling out a warm wipe to clean my hands before meals, taking off face masks, wiping the computer screen, wiped my kitten down (ha ha) and wiped my table down. It's so handy to have warm, moist wipes at your fingertips. Even if the wipes get low, as long as you have the top wipe coming through the slots into the top part, it will keep it warm. When I add a bit of water to the warmer, I pour it under the little green lid and that makes sure that top wipe and the others under it get the first water. My wipe warmer still has constant condensation under the green lid and the wipes are always warm and moist. LOVE THIS!

Ok let’s be real. Everyone poops. Some of us even BLEED? MONTHLY? Crazy stuff! Anyway I’m here to say: babies are gate keeping this device. I’m so serious. Why do we need to be a man and wipe with cold wipes when these exist? Answer: we don’t. This thing is no-nonsense and it gets the job done. Open container, insert wipe of choice (mine is the mint dude wipes, trust me on those), close and lock the main compartment, plug it in. Voila. Toasty warm butt or bits wipes. This is the difference between an okay morning and a GREAT morning okay. I’ve had zero issue with wipes drying out in this thing, it’s not hot to the touch, it doubles as a nightlight and comes with a cord long enough for me to have it chilling on the back of my toilet tank. Cost wise, this thing is on sale at the moment for $15 when the competitors want $35? No brainer. Astounding. Also the main compartment has locks so you don’t knock the thing over and spill your wipes everywhere when it’s 3 am and you’re not 100% sober. It’s amazing. Please buy a warmer for your butt wipes and thank me later.

I actually love this wiper warmer. My little guy was born in January of 2012 and I wanted something to keep the diapers warm that was low maintenance. First a brief warmer history -- For my first I use to just run the wipe in warm water - this got tidius and old very quickly. For my second I bought a warmer and hated it! I had to fill it so much that the wipes were dripping and if not then it would dry them out! PROS AND CONS PROS *Heats from the top (this is also a con...see below) so you get a warm wipe quickly and always warm *Low Maintenance *Easy to unplug when leaving for long trips *Like Clear View section to see how many wipes are left *Lid Secures nicely *Rubber around where the wipes dispense, makes it easy to start a refill without hurting your fingers and holds the next one in place really well, grips the wipe so that you can get them out. CONS I will give you a few tricks at the end to help with some of the CONS - *Heats from the top -- Dries out the top wipe after long period of no use (Usually over 24 hours) * Does not hold an entire refill pack of wipes With this warmer I actually love it as long as you do a few tricks - DO NOT FILL IT SO FULL so that the lid smashes down the wipes - this means that you probably will not fit the entire refill pack in your warmer. I do one of two things with the extra wipes - 1 - add them to my diaper bag wipes or 2 - put them in a ziploc baggie to save for later use. UNPLUG IT - if you are going to be gone for a while you should unplug it so that it does not dry out your wipes while you are gone. WIPE IT DOWN - when your wipes run out - just do a quick wipe down with a paper towel of the inside - I usually only do this once a month - put I know others who do it every time they run out of wipes so they do not forget. ADD A SMALL AMOUNT OF WATER - if you add a SMALL amount of water it will go a LONG way. I usually add about 1/4 of cup water. I do not pour it all on the wipes themselves just a little on the top and them the rest on the bottom of the warmer on both sides of the wipes. I usually know I need a little more water when it no longer condensates on the small blue lid of the warmer, so when I lift it up it makes a small little drop of water in the grooves. Years ago when I became a mom for the first time, other mothers bombarded me with information about which products were essential and which were wastes of cash. Every mother I encounterd said that a wipe warmer was a huge waste of money that would dry out my wipes. I liked the idea of a wipe warmer though and doggedly held onto it. I selected the Munchkin Warm Glow Wipe Warmer and was never sorry that I chose it. A wipe warmer is exactly what the name implies. It warms the wipes. It isn't going to be hot or even as warm as if you ran it under a lukewarm faucet. Think of the liability on the company. They'd be sued all the time for burned or scalded baby bottoms. It just barely warms the wipe to a more comfortable temperature. Many reviewers have said that it barely registers to their touch for more than a second. Well, I had a December baby and he noticed a huge difference all winter. He startled and cried when I used a wipe from the pack versus a wipe from the Munchkin Warm Glow Wipe Warmer. I don't care whether it feels warm to me--I want my baby to be comfortable. I also hear a lot of complaints about the wipes drying out completely or turning brown in this product. In two and a half years, I have had this happen one time. I have used Pampers, Huggies, Publix, and various other store or national brand wipes in this product with no fail. The one time it happened I was using the Walmart brand wipes, and frankly, they did such a poor job cleaning my babies bottom that I wouldn't have continued using them anyway. My husband and I really enjoy the push button that illuminates the unit in the middle of the night. It made changing the diaper (for urination, only) without turning on the lights a habit. The only complaint I have is that my son eventually tore the blue fold up lid off the unit, but after two and a half years and a minimal investment in the unit, we figure it did its job faithfully and have no reason to complain. I will not hesitate to purchase one for a baby shower. It helped make diaper changes a little more pleasant for all of us.

We love our wipe warmer! It’s definitely a great advantage to diaper changes late at night or just diaper changes in general. I do feel like this may set parents up for failure as our kiddo is now use to warm wipes that when we are out and about in public or away from home and use a cold wipe he freaks out. We truly love the wipe warmer but noticed that depending on how many wipes you have in the container affects how warm the wipe is. The idea of a warm wipe is great but getting the wipes to stay warm and consistent lacks! So every now and again you get a cold wipe. I do recommend following the cleaning instructions and refilling only when needed. The container does hold quit a few wipes. I also noticed that depending on the brand of wipe it can get dried out easily by the warming system. We use Huggies and it can hold a pack and a half but we don’t like overfilling because it affects the warmth of the wipes. Huggies seems to work great in the wipe warmer and doesn’t dry out as fast as pampers or honest company wipes. 8/10 warming 10/10 Size /wipe amount 10/10 easy to use 7/10 moist wipes Please remember that this is a review and contains an opinion. On baby number 2 and everyone told me I needed this. They’re right! I mainly use it at night, and it’s perfect because it doesn’t disturb the baby while they’re sleeping so it makes diaper changing way less chaotic especially during the newborn phase. The wipes are the PERFECT temperature. I actually love the little nightlight on it! I keep it on my nightstand in front of the bassinet and it’s just enough to glance over and see if the baby is okay without it being bright and annoying. Highly recommend!

I purchased this wipe warmer back in July of 2017 while looking up different products I might need for my babys arrival. I'm a first time mom which of course I over thought everything. I had my baby in October and have now been using this wipe warmer for over 5 months. I don't really have any complaints, my baby feels the difference when I use the warm wipes vs when we go places and I change her, I don't have a wipe warmer with me so the wipes are cooler. The only negative is the clasps that keep the lid shut, they tend to loosen therefore causing the lid to open when taking out the next wipe. Other than that its in great shape and it keeps all the wipes warm, as for the first wipe drying out I think that has to do with the type of wipes you use. I've tried Huggies, parents choice & pampers wipes. The only wipe that dries out first is the Huggies, now it doesn't dry out all the wipes just the first wipe on top. The pampers brand tend to stay moist if not a little too moist the further into the wipes you get which can be a little complicated but personally I don't care much for Pampers wipes brand. The parents choice are a nice in between in my opinion, they have the thickness of Huggies without being too thick but have just enough moisture without being too moist. A little off subject but just throwing out that the reason some wipes may dry out is bc of the brand of wipe you use. Overall I give this wipe warmer 5 stars, i now can't see myself ever not using a wipe warmer for my child or any future child I might have. There really is a difference & if you're second guessing if you should buy it. Don't, just buy it! It's been a life saver, a happy baby equals a happy mommy. I look at reviews constantly and I buy several items off Amazon based off reviews so I hope this helps anyone looking for a wipe warmer.

Honestly so many people told me not to bother getting a wipe warmer but I could not have been without it in the winter! Stopped her from fully waking up during nighttime changes. Now that my daughter is older it is also less of a fight if I want to wipe her face after dinner. It doesn't make the wipes hot or very warm - it just takes the edge off. The light is a handy feature for nighttime as it meant I didn't have to put a lamp/room light on to change. It is a US plug though so you will need an adapter.
