InCharacter Bavarian Guy Adult Costume

I purchased this for my Husband to wear at his work office Halloween party. He's a very tall and thin man.The costume fit the way we expected. It was not too big or too small. The hat was somewhat small for my 6 foot 5 inch tall big headed Hubby. It looked like he was wearing a kids hat. Because my Hubby is so tall the stocking/socks aka glorified knee highs didn't go all the way up to under the knee. The shirt is made out of swimsuit type stretchy fabric. The shorts and overall suspenders are very well made and the design on the suspenders is very nice. I would love to post a picture for everyone on Amazon to see but I'd also like to stay married. I paid full price for this costume. I received no discounts or payment of any kind for this review. My opinions are my own.

It was worth the price I paid. It's thin cheap material but for $20 it's what I expected. I purchased X-LARGE for my husband who is a size UK/US 36 waist and it was too big. I had to take them in around the waist and adjust the strap length, however, to go to the toilet he has to remove the straps by pulling them over his shoulders, so he would need the extra length. He is yet to wear it to our event but he did trial runs at home and was happy. > The socks wear very thin material and did not stay up, like in the picture. They were made of pantyhose material. > The hat was tiny and JUST fit his head. I tried ironing it to sit right, but it's cheap and not good material to begin with. > The shirt was great. Thin nylon material that fit him perfectly. It's designed to sit loose anyway but looked good and was long enough at the bottom. All 'n' all, for $20 we're happy with what we got.

I love this outfit! Keep in mind it is polyester, but it's for Halloween, so it doesn't have to be perfect or authentic. I wear a 31" waste and the shorts are too big. I ordered a medium. Nothing a little sewing up the side can't fix, or just leave it, if that kind of thing doesn't bother you. I didn't know the hat came with the outfit, so I ordered another one. I'm glad I did though because the one it came with is made out of the same fabric and floppy, not stiff as shown in the picture. I could have made it work with a little steaming, but it's really too small. It would probably fit a young boy, not a man. I may wear a gingham shirt instead to dress it up a bit, which will make it look more authentic. Overall though, I'm really happy with this outfit! And you can't beat that price!

This review of the Bavarian Boy costume, is for college students or young adults. It comes in different sizes, it has a unique quality and it is for those on a budget. The costume comes in three different types of sizes small, medium and large. How you determine which size to get is based on pants size. When trying on the outfit it may occur to you the socks slide down too much or the shirt is too big. The shirt is supposed to be a little loose, so it will be a little free in the arm when dancing. The socks do have the tendency to slide down often when, jumping, dancing or walking to fast. This costume is stylish and can make you look like a true Bavarian Boy. It is comfy and smooth. The shirt is almost like a silk feeling and the pants also have a thin silk feeling. However, if you plan on being outside on a cold day or night it will not keep be warm enough. I would recommend wearing something under the shirt and possibly warmer socks. If dancing is on the agenda or trying to be flexible you will want to be careful because the material may rip. I wore it two days in a row and by the end of the second day I had a hole on the side of the pants (easily sewed back up) and one of the straps ripped off (again easily sewn back on). Because of the low-price the material is not durable when doing more than standing, walking or sitting. For the people who are living on a budget it is an inexpensive costume that you do not have to make. It was very convenient and arrived on time before the weekend started. Other Bavarian Boy costumes may be too expensive because they are trying to be more authentic. Then there is a T-shirt that has straps printed on them, and that does not look good. If you want something that looks like a real Bavarian Boy, and paying for an authentic one is out of the price range. Then this is a great choice. In general this costume works. Easy to find the right size, and not going to hurt the wallet. Hopefully this review has helped in making your decision.

This came exactly how described, fit my husband well (got him a Large, he’s 220 lbs and 6’1”) and well made. He didn’t like the little stockings that came with it so I wore those with my costume instead! He liked the hat but our nephew stole it so it’s not pictured, it fit him well though and pulled the outfit together. Overall this was a great bargain for the price and a super easy throw-on type of costume, nothing complicated or heavy about it which is great!

Overall for 26 bucks this outfit is great. It will hold up to multiple wears and the was comfortable to wear in an XL at 6 ft and 245 lbs. I have very broad shoulders and the shirt fit well. Well worth it. You just need to expect to make a few simple modifications. My advice... The socks are worthless and the suspenders are short as well, both of these issues are mentioned in other reviews so was prepared. A quick trip to Walmart produced some short alligator clip extensions to the suspenders. I threw out the socks immediately because they are super thin and flimsy and too small to fit size 13 feet, and instead wore some off-white Smartwool hiking socks with hiking boots. If you want, do what I do and glue a big red feather to the hat. The hat is a little small but that only enhances the comedic value of the outfit. And it's not uncomfortable. So yes you may have to do a few things, but they take minutes and overall buying this was way easier and authentic looking than trying to create something from scratch. I am tempted to give it 5 stars based on value alone, but realize some people may expect a 5 star rating to mean perfect out of the box.

It was easy to use and, at less than $24, very reasonably priced. I wore it to a daytime, alcohol-free Oktoberfest celebration at the university where I work at (it's a public university but has no liquor license). The costume was a hit! I actually got surprised looks from people, many of whom complimented me on the outfit. This was all the more appropriate since I was the only one who bothered to wear anything even remotely Bavarian to the event (kind of hard to have an Oktoberfest feeling when everyone's dressed the way they always dress plus there's no beer). Because of this, my picture was taken various times by a photographer for the student-newspaper so I suppose me and the Lederhose will be somewhere on the campus website soon. Anyway, this outfit comes highly recommended, though it is a costume and not something you would take on a serious hike to an Oktoberfest in an Alpine meadow or anything like that. Great for parties!

This costume is for a local Octoberfest for my husband. It looks pretty good, but the whole thing is made of thin fabric, obviously pretty cheaply made. But, it is a costume so that was expected! We are going to add the traditional feather to the hat, as it does not come with one. The costume looks good, I like the detail on the emblem on the lederhosen. I think it will get a lot of laughs! The one thing that we think may be a problem is the shorts. The lederhosen are perminatly attached, and the 4 buttons on the front are just for show. The shorts actually have elastic in the back, no zippers or closures of any sort. That means in order to use the men's room, you have to take the lederhosen off your shoulders and pull the whole thing down. I may try to add a zipper in the front so he doesn't have to do that. It is Octoberfest, so lots of beer will be drank and many trips to the bathroom made! As far as sizing, my husband is 5' 10" and weighs around 175 and the medium fits him perfect. I think large would have been way too big for him. If we have any updates after Octoberfest, I will edit the review!

Muy bueno para el precio

Item arrived on time, I opened the package to measure it, the size was not fit and the quality was very poor. I put it back in the bag and returned it. After few days I received a message that item was received and the refund will be only 10AED because the package was opened. How am I suppose to try it on? By looking at the photo? Not recommended at all!

Quality won't stand for much wear but ok for our Oktoberfest at home. Shirt laces were missing which was annoying
