I have a Samsung OLED (90C) that does actually have an analog audio output (3.5mm) but it is very noisy, producing lots of squelching from EM interference. This tv also has optical audio output and can even use USB DACs. I had settled on using a Schiit DAC to send audio from the TV to my soundbar, but periodically the tv wouldn't detect the DAC and would then switch back to internal speakers, which was frustrating. Other times, it would send a horrifying, loud screech to the DAC which was then passed to the soundbar. I couldn't use the optical output for my soundbar because that was going to my Sennheiser wireless tv headphones (TR185, which are awesome). However, optical still seemed to be the best output option on this tv in terms of reliability and signal quality. I guess there's also eARC, which in my experience is endlessly flaky, and I needed all my HDMI ports for other things. All of that is to say, this little box solved my issues. I power it from the usb port on the TV, and it splits the tv's optical output to the Sennhesier headphones and my soundbar. I can use both simultaneously if I want, sound quality is great, and everything stays in sync. Of course, this box won't help anyone wanting HDMI audio for Atmos or other cutting edge surround formats, but I'm limited to stereo through the headphones or soundbar, which I use for space-saving reasons, so in my case it's perfect. I tuck it back behind a shelf and its out of sight, out of mind. My only gripe is that it has no visible indicator that it's working; no LED or anything. But if you are getting sound, that means it's working. We'll see if it is made to last!

I was not sure this item would accomplish what I was trying to achieve, but it has worked remarkably well. I like to be able to watch one TV in the living room and a smaller second one in the kitchen as I walk back and forth. But syncing the speakers has been beyond annoying with the echoing, inability to understand the TV show and trying to keep the volume comfortable for each room. Connecting the two speakers to the living room TV through the bluetooth multi-device setting on my TV also created echoing further complicated by the different size of speakers. So, I figured the best option was to try to connect the two speakers in different rooms through one short and one very long optical cable using the optical receiver setting. It has worked amazingly well! No echoing and the audio in each room is crystal clear. This splitter was very easy to connect and it is very small (2" x 2 1/2"). I also have a third port where I connected an optical to 3.5mm converter, which also works very well. I read all the specifications, reviews and comments beforehand to make sure there were no surprises.

I needed to split an optical audio signal between multiple devices and this has worked well. Setup was simple and it saved me from constantly moving cables around depending on which equipment I wanted to use. For the price, it has been a useful little box. 4 stars.

Perfect device for connecting additional items to tv and affordable

Purchased the newcare optical audio splitter 1 in 3 out. I absolutely love it. It was so easy to install even for a tech clutz like me. I have two sets of phonak hearing aids and it only took one tv connector for both pairs to work simutainasley. I am able to switch using them anytime and with great sound. I can have zero volume on tv with all the hearing I need through my hearing aids. It’s only one of many God’s gifts to us.

Would buy again.

I'll be hooking it up as part of a studio rebuild. So, assuming it works, this is an amazing value. Well made. Includes a toslink cable. You'll be all set if you need non-passive (powered) splitting. Go for it!

TV古くARC非対応。SPバーに光接続。母のためにパナの首にかけるSPはTVのヘッドホン端子からBluetooth飛ばしに繋いで使用していた。しかし接触不良が出て音がバリバリ言うので、オーディオテクニカの首からSP（光接続）へ変更。今回購入した光分配器を使って両SPへ分配。損傷無く使える。満足。コスト的にも満足。

I wanted the option of using 2 different amplifier/speaker line-ups from our living-room Smart-TV's SPDIF O/P. Got this NEWCARE 1 in 3 out Optical audio-splitter, and routed my smart TV audio O/P through that splitter to my Sony ULT TOWER 9AC and BOSS Gigcaster 8 (the 3rd O/P is unused at present). There's no signal loss even when both the split O/P are active, although I'll be using one line at any given time. This way I use the Sony ULT TOWER 9AC for Karaoke - with the option for scale/pitch-change. The BOSS Gigcaster 8 (mixer and effects-processor) is used mostly when I play any instruments (Guitar, Harmonica, Sax, etc...). Overall, simple/easy connections - for achieving the best of both worlds - in my case. BTW, I've connected the Splitter's USB cord to my smart-TV's USB power source. This way it gets powered ON only when I turn ON my Smart-TV. This device is well-made, compact, and provides the intended signal-split.

東芝regza 50z740xsの音声出力を二つの外部スピーカーに分けて使用しています。一つはBoseのSound bar、一つはSONYのお手元テレビスピーカーに繋いでいます。二つのスピーカーに対して、ほぼ同時に出力出来ています。また、二つのスピーカーを使用している状態でSONYのお手元スピーカーによるチャンネル変更などの制御も問題無く出来ています。非常に良い買い物だったと思います。
