What is this crib made of?

6 month old has started to teeth on the rails. Is the paint/varnish dangerous?

So the crib can only hold a child that is 50lbs? what happens when they become toddlers

It states that the crib itself weighs in under 50 lbs not that it can't hold more than 50lbs. I will state I have this crib in the mini size my child is 2 and still sleeps in the mini crib which is the exact thing as this one just a smaller version ,anyhow my older daughter 18 years who weighs 114lbs has gotten into the crib a few times with no issues. the mini version is well made and held the weight perfectly no issues. So I can say if the full size crib is made the same way toddler weight will never be an issue at all.

How many inches is it from the top of the mattress to the top of the crib? We have an escape artist.

I have a thick mattress and it is 20 1/2 inches at the lowest curve on the side rail and 23 1/2 inches at the highest curve on the side rail. My grandson is 32 inches tall and he has not attempted to climb out but he really just calls us and he is 2 years and 2 months.
