As described.
I used these to upgrade one of my mid 2010 Macbook Pro's. They are easy to install, fit and work well. good value, memory and performance is as expected. Been running them for a few months with no problems. And I bought them before AI killed the ram market. so I expect I can sell the old 2 GB DDR3 sticks I salvaged for the price of a small house and retire.

I didn't know what I was missing...
I'd been having random crashes until my machine finally just stopped working. The issue? A bad RAM module. More-so, it finally stopped working when the second RAM module died. With a project deadline looming, I didn't have the time to get a whole new machine set up, leaving me with 1 choice: repair. My machine started with 4G - not nearly enough for software development let alone much else (yay memory leak!). The modules that failed were an upgrade to 8G b/c at the time my machine (mainly due to OS) didn't support more (I know, I found out the hard way first...). I was so happy to find this listed as supported by my specific Mac, that I did a good bit of research to validate the claim, and took the plunge. I didn't know what I was missing... these RAM modules make my machine run like new again! 16G in a late-2009 Macbook and it FLIES!!! No more lag, programs open quick, sleep is near instantaneous, and starting Web Servers or larger development applications happen in a fraction of the time than they used to! Do your research, verify support with Apple using your *serial number*, not just model, and search other sites with that data to ensure compatibility. I hope you find your machine is supported and get the same elation from performance as I have.

16 GB Kit Brought new Life into Mac Mini, mid-2010; Works Beautifully
Bought this to upgrade the memory on my Mac Mini, mid-2010. Even though the specs officially say it only supports 8 GB of ram, with an EFI update, which everybody should already have, even if they're making a half-hearted attempt to do software updates on their Mac Mini, it can support 16 GB of ram. I took out the 4 GB (2 dimms) and replaced it with the 16 GB kit, and I booted it up, and it worked flawlessly. I'll also say that I thought about cheaping out and getting the 8 GB, but I'm happy I paid the extra amount for the 16 GB. When I looked at the memory used, it was already exceeding 8 GB (yes, I realize that OS X has its own algorithm and wouldn't have used that much had total memory been limited to 8 GB, but to me, it means that if things are unrestricted, OS X would have used >= 8 GB). This totally breathes new life into my Mac Mini, and I won't be replacing it *anytime* soon at all.

Mid 2010 MacBook Pro Refresh
My MacBook was lately showing sluggishness and I was considering to upgrade to a new SurfacePro for personal computing. I was googling and found OWC site where they have several DIY videos on upgrading MacBooks with memory and SSD. Though of trying this DIY before taking a decison for new device and placed an order on Amazon. Received the shipment today, watched the OWC DIY videos and just upgraded my mid 2010 MacBook from 4GB RAM to 16 GB RAM. The process was very easy and initially the system only recognized 8GB on a single bay. Reopened the MacBook and pressed the RAM one more time and now I can see 16 GB RAM (8 each). Pros - Easy to install, great DIY videos at their site, Mid 2010 MacBook pro compatible. Cons - Nothing yet though i am not seeing any change in boot up speed. Based on my research , I have to upgrade from HDD to SD for this scenario which I am planning to do this weekend.

Good upgrade
I needed to update my old Mac Mini 2010. I has 3Gb RAM installed and it was rather slow to open apps and switch between them. This was the answer to my problems. Memory was eat to install and fit well and worked without any problems. Helped resolve my speed issues

Excellent modules - gave my old system a boost
These modules replaced a cheaper set that caused me no end of issues. Although more expensive, they are worth every penny. They are installed in an 2013 MacBook Pro, and went in easily. The system recognized the memory as expected, and gave my system the boost in performance that I was looking for. I had also installed a new SSD, and the combination is truly incredible - I have a whole new machine! You really do get what you pay for!

Quality product at a great price
OWC has a good reputation for high quality Mac upgrade components, and this hard-to-find 16Gb (2 x 8Gb) 1066 MHz memory upgrade is perfect for revitalising an early 2010 mac mini to keep it running with today's bloatware. It was the best price for this item anywhere.
