awesome little gadget for the price
I’ve been using these rolling guitar capos for a bit, and they’re honestly pretty cool! The one-handed sliding design is a game-changer—moving between frets is super smooth, no messing with clamps. They’re lightweight, feel solid with the stainless steel, and the rubber roller keeps my strings safe from scratches. No buzz, tunes stay spot-on. Works great on my acoustic and ukulele! Only gripe? Takes a sec to get the hang of rolling it just right, and I wish they’d included a size guide for weird necks. Still, awesome little gadget for the price—my guitarist buddies are jealous!

I’m glad I bought it!
The product isn’t quite as easy to manipulate as I seen in the commercial, but it does serve the purpose and with practice you can smoothly transfer its position on the frets with the flick of a thumb. I’m glad I bought it.

Works but could easily be better.
This design is a great idea but I think this could be a little better. First suggestion I would make is that the spring tension is a little bit lighter. If it was too light it would be useless but I think it may be too strong. I used this on a Martin Acoustic and a Gibson Les Paul and it worked but didn't roll very easy because the springs are so tight. This also makes me use a little more force than I would like to for putting a capo on the necks of these guitars. The pieces touching the neck are rubber and I don't think they'll damage it but I don't like to use a lot of force while handling these instruments. I also used it on a Charvel strat style guitar with a thinner neck (yeah, Charvel, I bought it in the 80s). Use of this capo was a little smoother on this guitar given the thinner neck. In all three of these cases the capo worked well while playing. For my last test I put it on a Taylor 12-string and it was not usable. In addition to the issue with tension, the guitar just wasn't in tune with the capo on and didn't do a good job of applying equal pressure to all strings to produce a nice solid note. I checked the intonation of the guitar without the capo and it was pretty good. I worked with the position for a bit and got some improvement, but it wasn't perfect and I had to work with it much more than I would want to at a gig. I think this problem is caused by the hard rubber roller and the degree of concavity of it's surface. The neck of this guitar has less of a concave surface than the others and therefore the capo didn't fit it as well. However, I think if the roller was a little bit softer it would push down all the strings, even with lighter tension in the springs. The picture also shows that you can store it over the guitar's nut when not in use. I tried this and it was first difficult to get it over the nut because of the amount of tension, and then once there it was pressing too much on the strings and putting the guitar out of tune. There's a more expensive version of this capo with a person's name as the brand. I'm going to give that one a try and see if it's any better. This one seems to work ok in most cases if you want an in expensive capo that can be rolled into different positions during your set, but the clip capos would move to another position even faster.

Best Guitar Capo Ever Invented!!!
When I first ordered this capo I was very skeptical and I was extremely skeptical of the price knowing the cost of the other brands at $35 from another company on Amazon.... I questioned the insane deal for the pair at under $10.... I ordered anyway and I'm certainly glad I purchased them. They work as per the description given. I read many poor reviews and I've used many capos in my 40 plus years of playing acoustic guitar.... For those who are skeptical or have read bad reviews... Try this capo and if it doesn't meet your needs ... Amazon has a 30 day refund period... what is the hesitation.... you simply try and if you're not happy...send it back!!! I've just ordered a few more for some guitar buddies. God Bless and Enjoy your new toy!!!

These things are awesome! A definite must have for any gear bag.
I was a little nervous about buying the "cheaper" knock-off version of this sliding capo, but I'm so glad I did. They work on all my guitars without any tuning distortion, dead notes, or damaged frets. It's a little more difficult to buckle one on, compared to a one-handed slide-on capo, but once it's on the neck, you can easily slide it up or down to change keys, or just slide it all the way past the nut to play without it. It never comes loose or falls off, unless I decide to take it off. I've seen some reviews where the bar can slip off the high or low E string when you roll it up the neck, but I haven't had this happen to me. I think that as long as you are being mindful, and not pulling it to one side or the other, it works as intended.

Absolutely a game changer!
I have been playing guitar 30 plus years and this is hands down the best capo I have ever used. No more (wiggling) the capo to make sure the guitar is in tune. Moving from fret to fret and the guitar is still in tune! Just amazing. Great way to try out different keys while writing music without the hassle of removing the capo, re-applying and (adjusting)

Not as good as you think...
The videos you've seen of people effortlessly rolling these up and down guitar necks must be a joke because these don't roll like that. They are very tight. I meant I get that they're supposed to be tight enough to depress all of the strings but these are dent the back of your neck tight. The rubberized plastic roller gets groves carved into it by the strings and WILL NOT roll in a straight line up and down the neck. It'll walk off the edge unless you spend hours stretching out the springs and practice rolling back and forth for a cheesy internet video advert. It take two hands to apply though rolling in over the top of the nut does work but tuning can be a pain to maintain. Over all, I give it 2.5 for "works but kinda sucks". Go with the traditional Kyser quick release and be done with it.

Not moveable on all guitars
I’ve wanted a moveable guitar capo ever since I saw Lester Flatt in concert - when he modulated, instead of changing keys, he just moved the capo up one or two frets. He used one of those old elastic ones, which weren’t great for normal use. So I bought these hoping they could do it. They almost could. As others have pointed out they are a bit hard to connect, and my guitar has a narrow neck. Once they were on, they were great. But … the profile of the guitar neck was such that I couldn’t roll the capo - the neck got caught in the spring

Found the item to be a bit more effort to use than I had envisioned.
