So far it's great! (except the power converter)
Very happy with this straight out of the box. If this doesn't disappoint me in a few months time I'll be getting a few more. I was a bit concerned at first, since the packaging is very minimal and the instructions were wedged in the bottom so I thought they were absent until I searched for them. Pros: Nice and bright (with dimmer options if desired) beautiful sunlight colored light that doesn't distort colors decently long cord with control placed at a good midpoint for most applications super low profile easy installation with several options included (I'm testing the adhesive strips for now, with plans to use mounting screws if needed) decent coverage without being too bright around the edges of the light source Cons: timer doesn't have a 12 hour setting controls are not intuitive; instructions are needed unless you've used a similar light before and know it well split reinforcement thing is a bit chunky-it's hard to hide behind a tank sitting close to the wall I currently have this set up with one light shining into a 15 gallon terrarium, and one mounted to the underside of the shelf below it for the potted plants on the floor. All plants have been surviving near a west facing window for several months, but none were thriving and as winter set in they were beginning to to look very sad. I'll update if it seems this turns things around for them. I love how slim these lights are, and the fact that they aren't painfully bright around the edges (one is just sitting on the glass terrarium lid at about eye level) and I will absolutely plan to order another set for my next terrarium build if the plants like them as much as I do. UPDATE: I'm roughly at the one year mark now. I still appreciate this light, and while I considered removing a star, I decided to leave it because my complaint about it is easily remedied. The good: My begonias, monstera, cryptanthus, and creeping fig LOVED this light being added. It changed them from just hanging on to thriving in a few months time. It brought the bright pink color back to the cryptanthus. The creeping fig finally started growing. All my plants got bigger and bigger. About 5 months ago I took the terrarium apart to build a bigger one, so I now have both strips mounted to the underside of the shelf for my floor plants. My Monstera has grown nearly the height of the door frame. I have to hack the begonias back every few months. Plants would give this 5 stars. The bad: I started getting some flickering and sometimes the light just would NOT turn on. I finally got fed up with it and cut the switch out and spliced the wires back together with electrical tape. I wasn't really USING the switch most of the time anyway, because the timer didn't run long enough and I cannot stand the blinking light it has when set. I was using the on/off button though, and now that's gone. This fix kept me going only another few weeks before the power converter ALSO went out. That's an even easier fix (and perhaps replacing it from the beginning would keep the switch from going bad?) since you only need to plug the USB into another power converter. I've been running it this way for a month now with no further issues. Overall, I still recommend it or the price. I have a ton of old converters from past cell phones that work just fine, so this isn't a deal breaker for me. My rewiring job is holding up ok, and honestly I was tempted to do it from the beginning because the bright glowing blue light that's on whenever it's plugged in bothered me a lot being really close to my bed.

My favorite grow lights(coming from an experienced plant collector)
I’ve seen these lights get some hate and I don’t get it. I’ve had my older lights for around 5 years and I always buy more as I grow my plant collection. As someone who grows rare plants I highly recommend these, the lighting is amazing, I always see new growth on my anthuriums, monsteras, philodendrons, and all my other aroids. I also have a cabinet, mainly dedicated to Hoyas, and they seem to love the lights, they always have new growth and flower often. These aren’t as expensive as other lights but they are just as good. I have a lot of plants in my collection that are quite expensive and see them thrive!

Compact
I bought these for my sewing area. They are small and great for being tucked away. Such a terrific light for working on my projects not just plants. Timer is nice so I don't overdo it and know when I need to call it quits for the day. I did buy a 2 pack and one I use in a dark corner where there are plants... plants love it too.

Long-Lasting & Effective!!
I’ve had these plant lights for almost 4 years now, and honestly, they’ve been amazing! I leave them on 24/7 (probably more than most people would), and my plants have absolutely thrived under them. The lights are bright, efficient, and still work really well, which is super impressive after this long. They also came with multiple different ways to place your lights. Whether stick on, zip tie, or nail/tac. However, I’ve started to run into one issue: after years of constant use, the lights have burnt through the power boxes they came with. It started happening a few months ago, and now only one power box in my house seems to handle the power draw without problems. I haven’t had any issues with the lights themselves, just the power connection components. It’s definitely something to be aware of if you’re planning to run them non-stop like I do. If you’re using them more moderately (like on a timer), you might not ever run into this. Despite the issue, I still think they’re an amazing value for how long they’ve lasted and how well they perform! I will definitely purchase again if needed!

Great Grow Lights – Just Be Prepared to Screw Them In
I only have two small herb plants that I wanted to keep on a shelf with some light, so they weren’t stuck in a dark corner. These grow lights have worked really well so far! My herbs weren’t in great shape when I got them, but with these lights, they have stayed alive and even seem healthier than when I first brought them home. Pros: ✅ Helps Plants Thrive – My herbs are doing much better, even in a low-light area. ✅ Long Power Cord – Makes placement more flexible. ✅ Comes with Screws & Adhesive – You have options for how to mount them. ✅ Simple Remote Control – Easy to adjust settings. Cons: ⚠ Adhesive Didn’t Hold – The sticky backing worked for a few days, but the lights eventually fell, so we had to screw them in (which wasn’t a big deal, but worth noting). ⚠ Remote Placement Could Be Better – The control box is a bit low on the wire, meaning I have to bend over to adjust it. ⚠ Max Timer is 8 Hours – I’m not a plant expert, so this may be the correct amount, but I personally wish it could go longer. I end up manually turning them on in the morning and off at night. Overall, these grow lights work well for small plants, but I’d recommend screwing them in for a secure hold. They’ve definitely helped keep my herbs alive, so I’m happy with them! 🌱 (P.S. They do not work with smart plugs! If you are thinking you can make your own timer by plugging it into an automated smart plug, it won’t work unfortunately. It will turn it off, but not back on!)

fit the space well
I recently added some plants to my shelves in an area that does not get much natural light. I had been wanting to add lights to all of the shelves on the unit, but was perplexed with how I could get a light that would work for plants. This worked great. These were the shortest lights I could find. I did not screw the lights in because I do not want to damage the shelf. I have opted for the stickies. One of the lights fell off once or twice, but as long as I remind myself to give it a good nudge every other day or so it doesn't fall. The other light has stayed in place since I put it there. I think it's a case of me not cleaning the surface well enough when I applied it for the other one. The timer is interesting ... one feature I did not realize is it will turn on every 24 hrs for the amount of time you have it set at. So an 8 hour timer you turn on at 10 AM, will turn on the next day at 10 AM and for the next 8 hrs. Pay attention to the color of the light and its coordinating timer setting. The setting the timer is at and the order of how they are written does not exactly correlate. There is also a light intensity setting. I definitely recommend these lights if you just want something better than a dark void for your plants. I'm not a professional when it comes to taking care of plants, but so far they haven't died or showed since of stress from these lights so I am happy. :)

Seems to work, then repeated breaks down.
I've purchased three or four of these lights - same brand every time, two different product listings (2 and 3 strand). They seem to work well initially, with good functionality of the timer and dimmer options. But every single one has eventually died out, leaving my plants gasping for light. They dim and the cut out; or the timer goes out; or the whole thing breaks. I have returned more than once, and have reached out to the company directly for a warranty replacement. The ease of customer service was mediocre, not terrible. But every replacement has gone out too. I wouldn't recommend these to someone looking for long term, quality plant care. I know some reviews are fairly satisfied, but I wonder what those same people say a few months down the road... another good indicator, if you're still undecided, is that the product page does not clearly (if at all) indicate the color temperature in Kelvins nor the lumen output; the product only boasts the LED number and wattage to run the light - this doesn't say what it does for the plant, which is easily misunderstood by many people. Look elsewhere. Reddit has some great, thoroughly tested recommendations at all price points. Good luck!

So easy and makes my plants happy and healthy
What a lovely, useful and easy to use product. After months and months still shining bright. I used silicone tie tabs to get the light directed just where I need it. My plants are filling my enclosed porch where the windows block what the plants need. So this is perfect for me. Great price too!
