AeroBon Black Painted Key Fob Shell for Porsche 718 Boxster MK1

I am super pleased with the fit and quality of this key fob cover. The quality feels no different than the OEM pieces I removed. Be patient and follow the directions closely. The top pieces has to snap in the front. I did not get that at first. It is more than just hooking it in. What a great product for a fraction of the OEM version of the painted fob cover. My car is Agate Grey and got the fob to match. It is a close color match, but a little hard to tell in the picture. I bet more contrasting colors would look even better! The grey kind of looks glossy black if you don’t look close and know.

Absolutely love! Fits perfectly and looks like the key cake like this. I’ve gotten a ton of compliments. It’s not as hard to put on IMO as others have stated.

i've never written a review within 5 minutes of using a product. this one takes the cake! looks great - i had my car wrapped in a non-OEM color and the chalk color matches it perfectly! some reviews say this is much harder than the instructions say. i never read the instructions, and used only my fingernails, having already prepared a slew of small prying tools in anticipation of how "hard" this was going to be. i used little to no pressure, my nails were neither particularly short nor particularly long, the old fittings came right off without as much as a single second's worth of having to try hard, and the new ones popped right on. and yes, they are on there tight - someone at this company used precision in machining these. VERY happy, made my day today. and will probably make many days in the coming weeks. thanks!

Fits the key to our 911 perfectly. Very nice quality and the blue matches our Sapphire blue car nicely. It has held up well after months of use with no signs of wear.

I purchased this for my 2024 Porsche 718 Cayman key fob (MK1), and now that I finally have it installed, I absolutely love how it looks. The white finish looks fantastic with my white Cayman, the fit is good, and it completely transformed the appearance of the key. The finished result looks surprisingly OEM. That being said, installation was MUCH harder than I expected. It took me about an hour and a half to get everything apart and back together correctly. Maybe it was just me, but the plastic center piece did not want to go into place correctly, and getting everything aligned so the buttons sat correctly and the shell was completely flush was incredibly frustrating. I really wish the kit included a small plastic pry/removal tool. Removing the original Porsche shell was difficult enough that I eventually had to use a box cutter very carefully and slowly to help separate the pieces. You definitely have to be careful doing this because it would be easy to scratch the key, damage the plastic, or cut yourself. Even an inexpensive plastic pry tool would have made the process much easier and safer. The QR code included with mine didn’t work, which was frustrating. Luckily, there is an installation video under the Amazon product details, and that helped me figure out how everything was supposed to come apart and go back together. After a lot of patience, stubbornness, and trial and error, I finally got everything seated correctly and flush. And I have to admit, the finished result was worth the frustration. The white looks beautiful next to my 2024 Cayman and gives the key a much more customized, OEM style appearance. I would recommend it based on the finished product. I just think the installation experience could be much better with a plastic removal tool, clearer included instructions, and a working QR code. Finish is great but fit of the middle piece is sub par after purchasing 2. The middle just does not have a deep enough front clip to hold on.

This product is nicely packaged in a small aluminum tin with foam. There is a card inside with a QR code, which takes you to a video regarding installation. It took about 5 minutes to remove my OEM pieces on the fob and replace them with these pieces which match the color of my vehicle. The two side pieces pop in easily, the front and rear portions of the center piece require a bit of pressure, more so the front. The front of the middle piece was the last spot where I provided more pressure and then it snapped in and everything looked great. The price is reasonable, considering Porsche sells its versions for $149.00, so 5x the price.

Schnelle Lieferung. Leichte Montage, wobei das Anwendervideo etwas verwirrend ist. Im Video sieht es so aus als wäre das komplette Schlüsseloberteil zu demontieren und nicht nur die mittlere Blende mit der Bedieneinheit. Bei der Demontage der mittleren Blende ist Vorsicht angesagt, da diese beim Demontieren beim Wappen brechen kann. Auch die Montage des mittleren Steges ist etwas irreführend. Hier muß man einfach mit etwas mehr Druck die Nase am vorderen Schlüssel in die Nut pressen. Auch beim einsetzen der seitlichen Teile vorne am Schlüssel ist etwas mehr Druck erforderlich. Anfänglich hatte ich nämlich erst gedacht die Teile würden doch nicht passen, da die Originalteile sich leichter Montieren und Demontieren lassen. Die Teile passen alle Tip Top und die Cover haben keinen Einfluß auf die Funktionen des Schlüssels. Ich habe auch noch von Kwaks ein Cover mit Dekorstreifen für den Zweitschlüssel bestellt. Hier passt auch alles perfekt nur die seitlichen Streifen sind nicht ganz symmetrisch. Bei einem Preis von 25€ muß man das aber vielleicht auch in Kauf nehmen. Mich stört es nicht, da es nur beim genauen Betrachten des Covers auffällt.
