Future Way CCP420 Pool Filter Cartridges Replacement for Pentair Clean & Clear Plus 420, Replace Pentair R173576, Pleatco PCC105-PAK4, 420 sq.ft, 4-Pack

I have a Pentair Clean & Clear 420 unit. I tried to find OEM filters, but Pentair changed suppliers and uses now different sub-par replacements. I saw the CCP420 filters online and read numerous reviews, which were mostly very positive. Given the price and customer ratings, I decided to try them. I was amazed! They fit perfectly, but most importantly, the quality of the cartridges was actually better than the OEM which came with my unit. These have 5 bands holding the material in place compared to the OEM’s having only 4. The supports inside of the unit are definitely made better and include one additional support. The fabric material appears to be of better quality than the OEM. The perfect fit would make anyone think the CCP420 was an OEM product. I am completely confident that anyone who purchases these cartridges will be a happy with their decision as I am. Bill Z

High quality filters - we rent out our pool abut 50-60 times per summer on top of our daily use and these filters last a solid two years before needing to be replaced - for our 20x40 ft and 8ft deep end pool.

I recently replaced the filters I had for a long time with these and have been pleasantly surprised at how they work so far. They will probably be good for at least one or two seasons, but for the price you can never go wrong they’re well-made and have extra strapping to hold everything together, which is a bonus. I will buy them again.

These filters do a great job keeping the pool water clean and clear. The material feels durable, and they hold up well under regular use if you clean them consistently.  Fit is spot-on for compatible systems, and they’re a more affordable alternative to OEM filters. Downside: like most cartridges, they require regular cleaning to maintain performance, and longevity may vary depending on usage. Bottom line: Great value replacement filters—just stay on top of maintenance.

Perfect fit for the 420 size...

The end caps are hard plastic, not soft plastic like the Pentair originals. This means they may not form as good of a seal on the hard plastic joints in the tank. Time will tell if the quality is as good. The Pentair filters came clean after hosing down with a pressure nozzle and held up pretty well. They are easy to use, the size was correct, and if they work well, they will be a good value. I'm tempted to do something to make a better seal, if necessary.

Our pool people want to charge us 300 bucks quarterly to clean our filters. So we bought these and figured we could just replace them instead of cleaning...but we clean them ourselves and they've been holding up perfectly. I luv them.

The filters fit properly and are easy to install. Good value for the money.

We bought these for our Pentair Cartridge Filter & they have been great! I purchased some that were double the money from a pool store & they did not perform as great as these did this summer! Highly recommend, quick delivery and great quality!

I own a Pentair CCP420 and bought these cartridges as they are supposed to be compatible with my filter according to the description. Evaluations seemed pretty good and they swayed me. Well, do not make the same mistake, do not buy these cartridges: they do not fit properly. They look the same, feel more or less the same but the openings on both ends are too wide. Whereas the original cartridges fit snugly and you have to pry away the distributor (I guess that's what it is called) to remove them, with those, it just sits on top of the cartridges. Water seems to be going around them rather than through them and your pool water gets progressively more cloudy. It is just not a good product and does not work as advertised. Beware.
