Updated 2024... They have wonderful customer support. Very responsive and professional. I can't say how GREAT it is to have a company that is easy to get ahold of and actually takes the time to help you. Service is ABOVE and BEYOND!!! A representative called me to discuss my perceived issues with certain aspects of the hardware. We talked about my experiences and I offered to send the failed parts back but they said pictures would be good enough for review. The rep said the pictures would be forwarded for review by engineers for evaluation. They will be sending me replacements for the broken parts again at their insistence. I had bought these for a specific purpose and now that was over I considered it pointless to pursue this but the company wanted me to be able to use their product as intended and I ecstatic. You can buy Tracki with the confidence that the company will stand behind the product and go the extra mile to ensure you are satisfied. I will be testing the replacements to see how they stand up and i will let you know. --Original Review-- I ordered two of these for the two Tracki devices I bought and after a month of use I am very disappointed in the quality of the mechanism for both attaching the Tracki to the extended battery as well as the mechanism to keep the weather proof cases closed. I bought these as insurance for tracking my luggage while traveling, while I knew this was a bit extreme I was lured by the repeated claims of quality and such. After very light use one (of two) of the clasps that keeps clam shell case closed broke off with very little effort. Both of the mechanism used to secure the Tracki to the extended battery broke off, again with very little effort. This was not after years of wear and tear, this was after very light use of a few months just using to track luggage while traveling. I did not contact the company because given their claims of quality and how this is an affordable option to more expensive options and my experience leads me to believe this is a basic design flaw. If those pieces can be broken so easily with light use I can't imagine they would stand up to the wear and tear of use in a fleet setting. Because the piece that secures the Tracki to the extended battery has broken on both they are pretty much useless. Fortunately I only signed up for 6 month cellular plan and luckily my luggage made it back without relying on these devices.

Excellent product, easy set up,

The larger battery in this case is one of the main selling points. The tracki battery life is pretty reasonable once this is added. You'll likely get 4-5 days on the fastest update frequency setting to a few weeks on the lowest. YMMV. The case itself is compact, which is nice. It seals fairly well, although I wish the closing clasp was more substantial or locking in some manner beyond a simple clip. I wrap the front of the unit in gaffer tape, which will leave no residue when it's removed. While the included magnet is surprisingly strong when stuck to my truck's frame, I wanted to dial it up a notch and replaced it with an N52 Neodymium. It's McMaster-carr 5862K283, which fits very well. Original magnet is 30x5mm. This one is ~29x6mm. This is the strongest grade magnet available that fits the same space. Unlike the original, you'll probably not be able to remove the new magnet once stuck to the case. When sticking this to a metal surface, even with the included magnet, you can't easily pull it off perpendicular to the surface. You need to slide to an edge, and then tilt the case. The magnet stays stuck to the surface, which can then be slid off by itself.

Works as described! I thought the battery life would be a little bit better, but it's still way better than the tracki original battery. Box is waterproof, but I didn't feel like the box latched good enough and I didn't want to risk it popping open seeing I have it mounted underneath my car, so I added a couple pieces of tape around it once I charged and closed the box. Didn't seem to interfere with the signal of the device much either. I did notice a bit of a difference at times tho. It also charges alot faster than expected. Overall I'd give 4 out of 5 stars. I lost my first one I bought and the tracki and I contacted customer service. I had a new tracki and waterproof battery box at my door 3 days later. This was amazon support not the tracki company. I tried contacting them 3 different times about replacement and never heard anything back in over a month. But Amazon stepped in and quickly fixed the issue like always!! Thanks Amazon!!

Great item

This is a long-lasting battery for the Tracki GPS device. The battery that comes with the Tracki GPS only last, maybe two to three days. I have this battery set at two-hour updates and it still at 30% now running for the past 30 days. The setup in my Tracki is set to notify me when my car starts moving. When it moves out/in of the Geofence area and for speed notification. If I know my car is being used, I adjust the updates to 30 second intervals. Even with these setting, the battery has lasted for now 30 days. The case is a little large compared to the Tracki GPS Device. Tracki GPS with the larger battery fits inside the waterproof case. The magnet on the case is very strong. The Tracki in the case has not moved from where I placed it in the trunk of my car. I think Tracki should give you an option to buy both the Tracki GPS device and the long life battery in a single package. I did not know about the case and long life battery until I call Tracki customer service with question on the Tracki Device. So, if you have the Tracki GPS device, I do highly recommend this case with long life battery.

Bought this and it doesn't work anymore than just a regular battery. I charged it fully 3 says ago and it's already dead. I'm going to a different company because Tracki has been giving me problems for months. I just want a GPS tracker to work. NOW IM ON VACATION FROM MY THINGS. I CAN ONLY PRAY THAT NOTHING HAPPENS TO MY STUFF, BECAUSE TRACKi IS UNRELIABLE. I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO PAY EXTRA MONEY TO WORRY. I'M SWITCHING TO A NEW COMPANY RIGHT AWAY... Update 10/22: Was contacted by an extremely professional customer service agent named Jared. Jared not only responded in a professional manner, but walked me through difficult questions that I had been struggling with in the past. Not only did he make things right, but he made me feel that Tracki cares just as much about their customers as they do about their products. A hard thing to find these days! To sum things up. I'm excited that Jared reached out to me in such a pleasant demeanor. I can honestly say that I look forward to continuing my subscription to Tracki in the future because of this experience. Thank you Tracki!!!

It's serviceable but the downsides to the experience are going to be diffuclt to accurately explain. The hardware device is very good. I got the extended battery and waterproof case so I can't speak to the standard battery life. The battery life with the stendo was very good, way past my expectation* The problem with battery life is that the location reports were very unreliable and, since battery life is apparently directly proportional to location report frequency, I'm not actually sure if I was getting reat battery life or just Ok battery life. The fundamental problem with this device/service is that the software just isn't good. It's packed with buggy code and mostly includes features that don't work. It has tons of useful customization settings that do nothing. If you're willing to mess with all of the settings constantly and rely on it 50% of the time you need it then it's maybe fine on a really good day. That's basically all there is to it, software wise. In the end the thing that's going to really annoy you to the point of giving up is the lack of competent support. If you're averagely experienced with common computer technology then this device will seem familiar but it's a trick. Only a few of the features will work quite right, unexpected things will happen, reboots will not work, boot loops will happen, false positives, false negatives, and crashes will happen and you will eventually be calling tech support in order to get what you (likely over)paid for. Except you won't, because they do not have live tech support. You can email back and forth but the kind of problem you're going to be having requires live action. Now you're fed up with this junk, even though you had high hopes and still feel like it's such a shame because they had such a good pitch up front to draw you in! Payment... Tracki plans are more appealing than most of the other GPS tracker services for newcomers but you are going to have to deal with some hassle for the pleasure. The month to month seemed like a good idea to me at first but now that I know how it works I absolutely wish I had got the multi-month upfont deal and saved a lot of money. Depending on what you're using the GPS device for, the monthly service is likely going to be a much more expensive option than just paying for a year up front. Now for the actual worst (scam-like) part; In order to cancel your subscription to their service you will have to email their support team and request to cancel your service. This is absolutely ridiculous. You have to depend on 1) your email getting through 2) someone taking the time to open and 3) read your email rather than just instantly deleting it and 4) actually following through with who know what interpersonal process to completel your 'request' to be dropped from their auto-bill service. TLDR - Garbage
