Littmann Spare Parts Kit for Master Cardiology, 40011, Black

I have had to order these parts every couple of years and I really think they do a great job! I wish they lasted longer but honestly they do get quite a workout. Fits my stethoscope like a dream and I can hear like it’s new again.

My daughter is doing an internship, through high school, with a local doctor, who is also a family friend. He asked her to bring a stethoscope, and knowing I'd previously been a paramedic, he knew I'd still have mine. The ring around the diaphragm had deteriorated over the past 20 years since I bought it though, so it needed to be repaired. Placed the order and in less than 48 hours, my Littmann Master Cardiology was back in business. Perfect fit and an easy install. Tip... insert the diaphragm into the ring and then slip onto the bell as one piece. Tried to put the diaphragm on first, then the ring, but upon seating the ring, it pulled on the edge of the diaphragm, causing it to not fit evenly. Plus, new ear pieces are a bonus.

I was about to throw my Master Cardiology stethoscope into the same black hole where unmatched socks, dignity during code brown, and free time go… because I couldn’t hear squat through it anymore. I figured it was time to drop $300 on a new one and cry into my coffee substitute (because I’m a paramedic and don’t have time for real coffee). Then I found this $25 Littmann parts kit. New ear tips, new diaphragm, new lease on auscultation. Slapped these babies on, and BAM—it's like the angels started singing and I could hear lung sounds again. Rales? Clear as day. Murmurs? Beautifully tragic. Bowel sounds? Gross, but crisp. If you’ve got a Littmann that’s gone deaf like your partner when you say, “Can you restock the truck?”, this kit is the miracle you've been praying for. $25 to make my $300 scope feel new again? That’s the kind of ROI that makes my broke EMS soul tingle.

Good product and reasonable price

Bought to replace just the membrane (wish it was sold separately or with a choice of larger earpieces). My original membrane and the earpieces have lasted over 15 years of professional daily medium duty. Hopefully, I'll retire before this one breaks. There is one caveat: the membrane is quite difficult to install properly d/t a very tight fit. This membrane is supposed to have room to move when pressed harder against stethoscope head's inner rim to auscultate higher pitch sounds. It is quite easy to damage the membrane if installation is handled too roughly. It took me around 15 min. First, I pulled the membrane over a rim, then started to adjust it going around the rim's edge and carefully pulling the edge of the membrane back. Had to make a few rounds before getting it right. One may try to wet the edge lightly, but I didn't want to risk residual water left inside. All-in-all, my stethoscope looks and functions like new again. 15 min. for 15 years seems worth it!

El producto bien empaquetado, y de calida excelente, lástima que le quedó muy grande a mi estetoscopio, según la descripción era para el mío, pero no le quedó, supongo que es una una versión de modelo para antiguo.
