Movo WS-R30 Professional Furry Windscreen

..it replaces the foam windscreen that I lost and is under $20, whereas the foam replacement is $12 - for a piece of foam?I LIKE it because it looks professional, cuts out the 'Ps' and 'Bs' and moderate wind noise, and attaches easily enough.Unlike other mics I own, where the furry windscreen covers the already attached foam windscreen, this one does not.However, the fit is questionable as to whether it will, at some point (itself) make noise if shook. Just a thin piece of the foam/rubber slips over the mic heads to hold it on; whereas, the foam holds firm against the mics themselves with no wiggle room. We'll see how this works out in time.The rubber does collect hairs and dust, etc. So that's something to consider. It is large on the H4N, like the foam (but larger) so some may prefer something slightly smaller (if it exists) But I'm happy with this purchase and look forward to testing it some more in stronger wind conditions.

This product served me well recording production sound on a recent travel film. Fit snugly over my H5N and cut the wind noise nearly completely, allowing me to capture great stereo environment sound. My only regret is that I lost mine on the road - will have to reorder one soon!

Perfect fit for my Zoom H-6, though I stop short of 5 stars because the fur can shed a little.

This cover fit my H4N pro quite well. The artificial fur is supported by a supporting screen that keeps it away from the stereo mics and the foam rubber base holds it firmly in place. I have not observed any shedding. This made tremendous sound recording improvements in breezy conditions. It adds almost no weight, so I did not have to change anything in my camera mounting setup. (Used in wildlife video on an H4n pro and Canon 5D Mk4 with a 600mm + 2X with a shotgun mic) My only wish is that this came in a less obvious color or color pattern -- the white really stands out when you are trying to blend in.

I've used the H4N Pro a few times now with this windscreen on, and it works just as I'd hoped. It doesn't muffle the sound as far as I can tell, sound is still crystal clear. When it's REALLY windy you can hear some wind, but then I doubt anything could prevent that. I like how the foam keeps the muff away from the mics, and there's a rubber gasket that holds it to the recorder. The muff does not interfere with the rest of the controls at all. You can still see the lights at the top, and get to the mic jack in the back. No complaints at all.

Works well as advertised. Bought this for my Zoom h4n recorder and it fits perfectly. Cuts direct wind noise very well.Good build quality. Does not feel cheap, feels sturdy and well put together.The rubberized base does seem to like to collect dust and hair pretty easily though, but that's a cosmetic issue.Be sure to keep the box it comes in for an easy way to transport and store it.

MOVO has recently become one of my favorite brands for recording accessories! Great product and reasonable pricing! One of the best service! And the quality of this specific product is jaw-dropping...it makes all the difference in the world if you make home videos or outdoors where sound proofing is hard or impossible! I high recommend investing on this for youtubers....sound is both one of the most important and overlooked aspects of youtube videos and this product will bring your videos to the next level!

I take my in the field and sound effects recording seriously. Or maybe I'm just an over the top hobbyist. Wind is the bane of us enthusiasts. Movo has come up with an acceptable solution albeit with limitations.I've tried three different types of wind suppression on a Zoom H6 with a good, better, best, results. The standard foam rubber on the microphones is really only useful during interior recording. Zoom's own furry thing is a step up, but it rests on the mic capsules. This doesn't allow for the transient air getting through the fabric, dead air space to dissipate. It also allows the fabric to physically buffet the mic. The Movo's thicker reticulated foam provides a modicum of dead air space.The limitation of the Movo, for my needs, is about a 12 to 15 mile per hour wind. Beyond that, a hat or jacket covering it may be needed to further break up the wind rumble.The Movo build quality is excellent. The layered foam and furry fabric are glued only to the durable rubber base. I haven't experienced the fur shedding as some have. A little thicker fur would be nice. The foam is stout and rigid enough to keep its form under normal handling.I may buy another Movo and dissect it. I want to see if a layer of a thin chiffon fabric between the fur and the foam will cut the wind even further without reducing transparency.I made a video review and bench test of the Movo on a Zoom H6. It demonstrates nondestructive ways of reducing wind even further and a solution for the covered gain knob when using the Movo. Sorry, but I think the video busts review guidelines and would, therefore, give this review the ax.I hope this has been helpful to you.

Secondo me funziona alla grande all'aperto. Con un po' di vento la registrazione è venuta pulitissima. Ancora non lo provo con vento forte, ma sicuramente finora vale i soldi spesi!Lo uso con lo zoom h4n e non ha i problemi che ho letto nell'altra recensione, perchè lo zoom ha i mic rivolti verso l'interno (altrimenti sì, lo spazio sarebbe piccolo: ma penso che questo varrebbe per tutti gli antivento).

Sieht fluffig aus- fühlt sich so an und ist auch echt gut verarbeitet. Bisher hatte ich keinen "Haarverlust" an der Deadcat. Funktioniert soweit super und tut was es soll. Klare kaufempfehlung :)

Article de bonne facture, s'adaptant parfaitement au zoom H5 et efficace. Testé dans plusieurs environnements, il s'est avéré très utile dans la prise de son dans un canyon durant un jour assez venteux.

El producto es lo que pone y sirve para lo que sirve. Se nota enormemente la diferencia cuando se usa que cuando no, es sencillo de utilizar, se entregó el día que señalaron y, francamente, no veo de momento nada malo, aunque bien es cierto que tendría que usarlo un tiempo para opinar ya que una cosa es la primera impresión y otra la efectividad a medio y largo plazo.En general, lo recomiendo.

The good; Great design, rubber seal fits great on H4n. The not so good; Good in a light breeze, anything above that and you'll get wind noise. If it had stocking mesh and a true foam layer under the fur, it could be an awesome product. A bit expensive for how it performs.
