good product/good price
thank you Bulk Products for continuing to provide powders of some of the vitamins we normally take in capsules. Potassium is one that has no flavor, so is easy to dissolve in water and take that way. For muscle relaxing, alleviating and preventing muscle cramps.

3rd party testing...
As always, Bulk Supplement s always full the bill! : )I would like to have a correct measuring spoon in or with the bag, as sometimes, with only the information on measurements, my not being so good in division & multiplying shows up & I become confused how much to take & I can't find a measurement chart that is of help. Please, consider making it easier to quickly take the correct amount by adding a measuring spoon like many other companies do. : )

Minimal taste at high concentrations in carbonated water
I add these to very cold carbonated soda water, first at 3.6 grams per gallon, then at 18 grams per gallonAt 3.6 grams i cannot detect any taste, at 18 grams i can detect a very faint but not particularly objectionable taste. This is a great choice if you want to make your own carbonated electrolyte water

High quality potassium supplement
Disclaimer: As with any dietary supplement, consult a medical professional for an appropriate dosage for you or use at your own discretion. This review is not medical advice.Despite eating a balanced diet with lots of leafy greens and vegetables, getting enough potassium is quite difficult for me. This powder is a convenient and easy-to-dose supplement for me to ensure I get an adequate amount of this mineral. It dissolves fairly easily in water, but can clump a little, so I find that adding it to water helps dissolving (as does stirring). The flavor is a little salty, so I add enough water for this to be mild, or I may add a splash of tea or something with other flavor. This saltiness typically accentuates sweet flavors, which I've noticed when combining this with flavored electrolyte powders. It is much less salty than potassium chloride, which is typically used as a low-sodium salt substitute. It can be tough for a lot of individuals to get enough, especially those with gastrointestinal-related health conditions. Potassium is an important electrolyte which plays a critical role in muscular functioning and heart health. Too little, and one may notice muscle or leg cramps, or longer period of aches and recovery time after workouts. Too much isn't good for one's health either, so review the recommended daily value (RDV) guidelines and do your due-diligence before supplementing!A side note: the packaging states a dose of 435mg (== 0.435g), which provides 2% of the RDV of potassium. In principle, 50x that quantity gives the full 100%, which equates to roughly 21-22g of *this powder* (approximation due to potential rounding error). PLEASE be careful about volume to weight conversions! This "seeming discrepancy" is because this product is not composed solely of potassium; potassium gluconate is a molecular compound, so potassium + other chemicals (in particular, KC₆H₁₁O₇). The only way for pure potassium to exist on its own is in its ionic form (e.g. as electrolytes dissolved in water).

Great for DIY capsule filling
As with any Bulk Supplements products I've tried, I like this stuff. I pack my own size 0 capsules and this product requires very little tamping/packing.The great benefit other than drastically cutting costs is that I can fit 375 mg consistently into the capsules, which if you take potassium, you know that you really can't purchase anything more than 99 mg under any label. Who the heck ever thought that 99 mg should be the standard??? And since the adult recommended daily for potassium is 4700 mg, I'd rather make up the deficiencies at 375 mg at a tenth the price than at 99 mg. The latter would mean you'd have to take nearly 50 of the commercially produced tablets to make the minimum.I take about 1400 mg this way, half in the morning and half at night. By doing so, my blood pressure has dropped and I don't have night muscle cramps. If I mess up and miss a day, I know it about 5 am.

Good. Dosage unclear.
Pretty sure this will serve its intended purpose to give me more K in my diet. Only thing I don’t love is the super vague dosing instructions. Just says 500mg (1/5) Ugh. Ok…..I don’t Math.

1/4 teaspoon serving, virtually no taste
The bag states that the serving size is 1/5 teaspoon, but who on earth has a measuring spoon that size? So I calculated that if 1/5 teaspoon = 84 mg of potassium (as stated on the bag), then 1/4 teaspoon = 105 mg of potassium (my math: if 0.2 tsp = 84, then 0.25 tsp = x. Solve for x.) They cannot recommend 1/4 teaspoon, because the FDA limits OTC potassium supplements to 99 mg per serving to discourage people from taking too much and ending up with hyperkaluria and heart problems. I am not a physician or health care professional, and this is not medical advice, but for my own purpose of enhancing the potassium content of my diet, 105 mg per 1/4 tsp seems close enough for me. It dissolves easily in a glass of hot water (or juice, soup, etc.) and adds virtually no taste.
