Yes there was. They lost the suit because inventor was able to show that the company changed the formula from the original formula, but kept the VSL#3 name and marketed as being equivalent to the old product. In addition, none of the clinical trials that supported the original formula were considered valid for the reformulated product. The original, clinically tested product is now available under the name Visbiome.

Why is this cost almost twice that of the same product 60 count at cvs, walgreen's ?

Because it has clinical data and more CFUs than over the counter supps. It’s cheaper at retail! Try cvs Costco or sams club

On the advise of my doctor I take 1 capsule once a day. It has helped my tendency toward IBS which has never been conclusively diagnoised.

Since vsl3 copied the inventor's formula, thus no development costs, why is vsl#3 just as expensive as visbiome? it should be cheaper.
