Medvice Aneroid Sphygmomanometer - Blood Pressure Cuff Manual for Adults

Just got it and gave it a test drive. Great so far! I am a bp measuring guru and measure at least a few times per day. LOL. If there's one thing I know, it's my bp. I always use manual cuffs and like to keep at least two working ones at all times. Men self measuring for DECADES. I like this cuff, AOK and the readings jibe very well with my other cuff. These things usually fail with the bladder eventually springing a leak. Hope it lasts, but good so far.

I purchased the above blood pressure cuff on March 8, 2020 following an extremely high blood pressure reading at the doctor's office. Upon the advice of my doctor, who felt I should purchase an electronic blood pressure monitor, I did just that. My initial purchase from Amazon.com was an electronic blood pressure kit. My sister and I thought we would give it a shot, because everyone said it would be so easy seeing as it was electronic and would do all the work for you. We used it several times, but the readings were not consistent. We ended up returning the item to Amazon. My sister had been a caregiver for Mom and Dad and was actually used to a manual blood pressure cuff. So back to Google and Amazon to research and read numerous reviews for a manual blood pressure cuff that would work equally as well as the one we used for Mom and Dad (the old cuff could no longer hold air when it was pumped), but it lasted such a good long time. After a lot of reading, we came upon the Medvice Manual Blood Pressure Cuff. Our research, as well as the reviews sounded good, so we made the purchase on Amazon. We are very glad we did! The cuff is so easy to use. Once pumped, it holds onto the air, until you're ready to slowly release it. Our readings have been consistent, and we could not be happier! On a scale of 1 to 5, five being the highest, my sister and I would rate Medvice's Manual Blood Pressure Cuff a 5. It is worthy of this rating because of its ease of use, and its reliability. We feel we can count on it to give us accurate and consistent readings each and every time. And that in itself is a lifesaver!

At first, the knob on the bulb was very stiff, which made it hard to control air release. It's fine after I used it for a couple of months. I really like that it's extra long and not extra wide. A lot of heavy people who need a "large" cuff in length are short and have short upper arms, so neither medium nor large cuffs fit them. This is the perfect solution for that.

I am giving this B/P cuff 4 stars. It came as described. The box was pristine along with the item. It works good. My only complaint (and it is NOT a complaint more so my own personal likes and dislikes) about this item is, its a solid round cuff that you slide your arm into with a thin metal bar that you just pull the cuff to make it tighter around the arm. I am use to the old kind that you just wrap around the arm and Velcro the other end. Otherwise as I said it works fine for me. I just need to get use to this type of cuff. Also now this is a feature I am use to having with the older style cuffs, is a open small pocket for the back of the meter to slide and hook into while its being pumped up. It made it so much easier to read without having to hold it still or laying it down to read.

I am a medical student and needed to purchase my own sphygmomanometer (BP cuff), and having purchased Medvice products in the past, did not hesitate to purchase again seeing the good reviews. I was not disappointed as this checks all the marks for what I was looking for. The cuff itself is large enough without being overly big. While a second cuff is always appreciated for the price I can't complain. The unit comes with ample instructions and pictures to help guide you through the process of taking one's blood pressure reading. The metal loop that the strap of the cuff goes through and the rubber tab at the end of the cuff make it an ease to adjust and strap with one hand especially when checking ones own BP. The clip on the manometer itself is really helpful for mounting in a visible place while maneuvering your stethoscope and pressure bulb with your opposite hand. All in all I have no complaints with this unit and for $20 it is an invaluable piece of equipment for healthcare professionals & laypeople alike.

I like the it. It works exactly as it should.

They need to make it clear that this item does not come with a Stethoscope. I assumed it was a kit with a scope. It was not. I ordered a Stethoscope today.
